The Worst Mistake of my Life

All Lea remembered was that stupid train.

Year One

They spent the first year travelling almost constantly. Unless they were sleeping, every train that passed, they got on and travelled a few stops before getting off and getting on another.

The whole time was spent barely speaking.

Instead they passed their time sleeping, doing pull ups/push ups on the train (who was she kidding that was all Five), threatening to kill him, practising her spiderman abilities by hanging to the bar at the top of the train.

More train stops. And more.

“This is all your fault Five!” She screamed at almost every stop when it wasn't the correct one.

Her thoughts consisted of her family and Simba.

How about if the world already ended? Everyone had died.

She hoped Lillith died with the thought that she and Five may have survived.

But she may have thought they betrayed her, let her and her family die just so they could live.

She repeated what Lillith, Freya, Grace and Emmy looked like every day hoping she would never forget.

She refused to cry. At least in front of Five.

Show no weakness.

If the Commission taught her anything, it was how to pretend everything was okay.

And she was okay. She was definitely okay.

But constantly being around one of the people who had hurt her most in life really didn't help her attempting to hide her emotions when she yelled at him most of the time.

Year Two

By Year Two, Lea had completely given up.

Especially after that one day.

They'd stopped the constant travelling around and Lea excused herself to go to the bathroom, the only good thing about each of  the train stations was that there were toilets in there.

But the second she shut the door behind her, she fell to the floor.

It had become too much. It was day 385 and she didn't know if she could cope anymore.

The idea of never going home, never holding her nieces ever again, never making fun of Freya whenever she blushes after someone mentions Brody, never holding onto Simba again and most importantly never telling Lillith how much she means to her.

And the tears began falling.

The walls really weren't that thick and she knew Five would be able to hear her so she covered her mouth to stop him from being able to hear her audible sobs.

It all came crashing down.

She would even take hugging Ben, who she knew would never hug her but she may even take a high five.
