The White Violin

There was a vibrating tone, a loud squealing similar to a woman screaming sounded around her, but Lillith was seemingly the only one who heard it, falling to the floor and holding her ears as a searing pain shot through them.

Diego looked down to her, quickly trying to lift her up and see if she was okay. Then Mila ran down the stairs and over to the woman, burning her on her arm to snap her out of it.

The taller woman groaned at the pain before standing up and looking around trying to figure out where it came from.

"The sound," she said as if it was a completely self-explanatory sentence.

"Sound?" Mila asked her, standing away from her knowing she didn't need to be overwhelmed.

"It was like a scream. A woman, maybe a child?"

But then before anyone could ask any further questions there were explosions rumbling around them, glass shattering.

All three of them ran in the direction of the corridor they assumed everyone else was.

"What the hell is going on?" Diego asked, being followed by the two women.

"Are those explosions coming f-"

"Vanya," Pogo interrupted Klaus. "We need to get to the safety outside the Academy."

Explosions echoed around them, causing Mila, Diego, Lillith and Klaus to start running, Luther calling out after them, "Don't forget mom!"

"Go! Now!" Pogo called out to Luther, who ran towards Allison taking her up the stairs.

The whistling sounding out around Lillith caused her to not be able to hear anything, only the whistling. Not the blasting explosion of the walls around her. She thickened the air above her and Mila, the two of them running through the house trying to find Vanya.

It wasn't the best idea, and Diego and Five would kill them for it but Lillith needed to know her sister was okay and she was convinced she could save her.

But how easy is it to save someone so far gone?

She saw Mila yelling at her, trying to take her somewhere, but Lillith couldn't hear a single word, holding the shield above them, the blonde girl grabbing her hand and running in the way of the exit.

Only she knew when it was time to stop.

Then as they ran in the direction of the living room, they saw as Vanya raised Pogo into the air, throwing him back into the horns placed on the wall.

"Vanya! Please!" Lillith begged, trying to pull back from the grasp of the blonde girl next to her.

Vanya didn't respond, but Lillith wasn't able to hear it anyway. And that's when it all came falling. Bricks, glass, the foundation, furniture. Lillith struggled to hold up the weight, pushing upwards with all of her might as they jumped as far away from the building as they could.

Lillith let go of the barrier, holding onto Mila, pushing them as far forwards as possible, making them land directly on the ground, Lillith cutting down her leg and opening her stitches again.
