The sun hung high in the sky, casting a warm, golden hue over the rolling hills of the Burrow. Garreth Weasley stood at the kitchen window, the familiar scents of his mother's cooking wafting through the air, mingling with the fragrance of the blooming flowers outside. Summer had arrived, and with it, the promise of long, lazy days filled with family, laughter, and, this year, something a bit more special.

Garreth's older sister, Isobel, had arrived earlier that morning, her arms full with the newest addition to the Weasley family—her infant son, Arthur. The house was alive with excitement, everyone eager to meet the little one.

"Garreth, could you help me with these dishes?" his mother called, her voice warm and comforting.

"Sure thing, Mum," Garreth replied, tearing his gaze away from the window. As he joined her at the sink, the front door creaked open, and he heard the familiar sound of footsteps he had been waiting for.

"Y/N's here!" he called out, his heart skipping a beat. His mother shot him a knowing smile as he wiped his hands on a towel and hurried to the door.

There she stood, Y/N, her eyes bright with happiness and her smile wide. Garreth felt his heart swell as he pulled her into a tight embrace.

"It's so good to see you," he murmured into her hair.

"And you," she replied softly, pulling back to look at him. "I've missed you."

"Come on, everyone's inside," he said, taking her hand and leading her into the bustling living room.

Isobel sat on the couch, her face glowing with pride as she cradled baby Arthur in her arms. The room was filled with the rest of the Weasley clan, all excited for Y/N to have a chance to hold the newest family member.

"Y/N, this is Arthur," Isobel said, her voice full of maternal affection as she gently handed the baby to her.

Y/N's eyes lit up as she carefully took Arthur into her arms, her touch gentle and instinctive. Garreth watched, his breath catching in his throat. She cooed softly to the baby, her voice a soothing melody that seemed to calm him instantly.

As he observed Y/N with Arthur, a rush of emotions overwhelmed Garreth. He saw the way she cradled the infant, the tenderness in her gaze, and the natural way she cared for him. Thoughts of a future together flashed through his mind—a future where they might have children of their own, where Y/N would be the loving mother, and he, the proud father.

Garreth's heart raced as he imagined the life they could share. He had always loved Y/N, but in this moment, watching her with his nephew, he felt that love deepen into something even more profound. He saw the life he wanted with her, the family they could build, and it filled him with a sense of certainty and joy.

Y/N looked up and caught Garreth's eye, a shy smile spreading across her face. "He's adorable," she whispered, her cheeks flushed with happiness.

"He is," Garreth agreed, moving closer to them. "But not as adorable as you," he added, his voice low and filled with emotion.

She blushed, looking down at Arthur with a tender smile. "You're too sweet."

Garreth reached out, gently stroking his tiny hand. "I mean it, Y/N. Seeing you with him... it makes me realize how much I want this with you someday."

Her eyes widened slightly, a mixture of surprise and happiness dancing in her gaze. "Really?"

"Really," he affirmed, his voice steady and sincere. "I love you, Y/N. More than I ever thought possible. And I want a future with you. A family with you."

She smiled brightly. "I love you too, Garreth. And I'd love that more than anything."

In that moment, surrounded by the warmth of his family and the promise of a beautiful future, Garreth felt a profound sense of peace and happiness.

As Garreth and Y/N stood there, they were wrapped in a quiet moment of shared dreams and whispered promises. Around them, the rest of the Weasleys continued to bustle with the joy of family reunions and the excitement of having a newborn in the house.

"Garreth, Y/N, come and join us for lunch," Mrs. Weasley called from the kitchen, her voice cutting through the hum of conversation. "I've made all your favorites."

They exchanged a glance and a smile, reluctantly breaking the spell of the moment. Y/N carefully handed baby Arthur back to Isobel, who gave them both a knowing look. "Thank you for holding him, Y/N. He seems to have taken quite a liking to you."

Y/N smiled warmly. "He's a sweetheart. I wouldn't mind holding him again later."

"Anytime," Isobel said with a wink, shifting into a more comfortable position.

As they made their way to the kitchen, Garreth held Y/N's hand tightly, the warmth of her touch grounding him in the present even as his mind lingered on thoughts of their future. The long wooden table was laden with an assortment of delicious dishes—roast chicken, mashed potatoes, fresh garden vegetables, and of course, Mrs. Weasley's famous treacle tart.

"Everything looks amazing, Mum," Garreth said as they sat down, his stomach growling in anticipation.

"Thank you, dear," Mrs. Weasley replied, beaming with pride. "Dig in, everyone!"

The room filled with the sounds of clinking cutlery and cheerful chatter. Garreth watched as Y/N engaged in conversation with his parents, laughing at his dad's jokes and listening intently to his mum's stories. She fit in so seamlessly with his family, and it made him love her even more.

"Y/N, do you have any plans for the rest of the summer?" Mrs. Weasley asked, passing her a plate of roasted carrots.

"Well, I am working at Gladrags as an assistant this summer to earn some money, but I'm hoping to spend as much time with Garreth as possible," Y/N replied, glancing at him with a smile. "And I'd love to help out around here if you'll have me."

"Oh, we'd love to have you, dear," Mrs. Weasley said warmly. "You're always welcome here."

After lunch, the family migrated to the garden, where they lounged on the grass, enjoying the sunshine. Garreth found himself once again mesmerized by Y/N, who was sitting under a tree, laughing with his sister and mother while holding baby Arthur once again. The sight filled him with a deep sense of contentment.

"She's something special, isn't she?" His dad said softly, coming to stand beside him.

Garreth nodded, his eyes never leaving Y/N. "She really is. I can't believe how lucky I am."

The ginger haired man smiled, placing a hand on his shoulder. "You deserve it, Garreth. You look at her the way I look at your mother.. You two are perfect for each other."

They stood there in comfortable silence, watching the people they loved most in the world. Eventually, Y/N looked up and met Garreth's gaze, her smile widening. She excused herself from the conversation and walked over to him, having returned Arthur to his mother's arms.

"He's fallen asleep," she whispered, her eyes shining with affection.

Garreth reached out and gently brushed a stray lock of hair from her face. "You have the magic touch," he said softly.

She blushed, looking over at the sleeping baby as she held "I think he's just worn out from all the excitement."

"Maybe," Garreth conceded, "but I still think you're magic."

They shared a quiet laugh, and then Y/N's expression grew more serious. "Garreth, about what you said earlier... I meant it. I really do want a future with you."

He cupped her face in his hands, his thumbs brushing lightly against her cheeks. "Me too, Y/N. Me too."

In that sunlit garden, surrounded by the love and warmth of family, Garreth felt like he had everything he could ever want. And as he leaned in to kiss Y/N, he knew that this was just the beginning of their beautiful journey together.
