The summer night was calm, the air filled with the soft hum of crickets and the occasional rustle of leaves in the gentle breeze. Moonlight streamed through the open window of the Sallow residence, casting a silvery glow over the cozy space. Y/N lay beside Sebastian. Her breathing may have been steady, but her mind was a storm of unrest.

In her dream, she found herself in a dark, damp cell where Victor Rookwood was holding her captive. The walls were cold and unyielding, slick with moisture that dripped down to the uneven stone floor. The air was thick with the stench of mildew and rot, choking her with every breath. Chains clinked as she tried to move, her wrists bound tightly to the wall above her head, the metal biting into her skin.

She could hear footsteps approaching, each one echoing ominously through the narrow corridor. The sound was deliberate and unhurried, like the ticking of a clock counting down to her doom. Her heart pounded in her chest, the rhythm erratic and filled with dread.

"No, please," she whimpered, her voice barely more than a whisper. Her eyes darted around the dimly lit cell, searching for any means of escape, but there was none. The shadows seemed to close in on her, the darkness swallowing her whole.

The door creaked open with a sinister groan, and there he stood—Victor Rookwood. His tall, imposing figure was silhouetted against the dim light of the hallway. His eyes gleamed with malice, and a cruel smile twisted his lips. He stepped into the cell, the air growing colder with his presence.

"Miss Y/N," he drawled, his voice dripping with menace. "Did you really think you could escape me?"

Y/N's breath hitched as she struggled against her bonds, the metal cutting deeper into her wrists. "Where's Sebastian?" she demanded even though her voice trembled with fear.

Rookwood's laugh was low and chilling, reverberating off the stone walls. "Sebastian isn't here. And I've made sure that he, nor anyone else, is going to save you. You're all alone, just like before."

He advanced towards her, his shadow stretching across the floor like a dark, malevolent specter. The closer he came, the more her panic intensified. She could feel his cold breath on her skin, could see the glint of madness in his eyes.

"No! What did you do to him?" she cried, her voice rising in desperation. "Stay away from me!"

Rookwood's hand shot out, gripping her chin with a bruising force. "You belong to me," he hissed, his face inches from hers. "And you always will."

Her vision blurred with tears as she tried to pull away, but his grip was unrelenting. The walls of the cell seemed to close in, the darkness suffocating her. She could feel her strength waning, the fight draining out of her as hopelessness took hold.

"Sebastian," she sobbed, her voice barely more than a breath. "Please..."

Beside her, in the real world, Sebastian stirred, sensing her distress. He turned to face her, his brow furrowing as he saw the anguish and tears on her face. "Y/N?" he murmured, gently shaking her shoulder. "Y/N, wake up."

Her eyes snapped open, but the nightmare still gripped her. In her disoriented state, she saw not Sebastian, but Rookwood standing over her. She let out a terrified scream, pushing him away with all her might. "No! Get away from me!"
