"Who are you? Surrender and explain yourself!", the Cloud Knight shouted.
"Please, calm down.", the man turned around, smiling softly. "I'm Kevin's friend."
"Are you sure? Then how did you make it here? Were you tailing us?", March asked. "Cause' you certainly are NOT a part of the Express!"
"..I do know him. He's Su.", Kevin sighed. Surprising. Why was he alive? Better not to rouse suspicion right now, right? But genuinely, he wondered why Su was alive right now. Once you sink into the Sea, you can't come back unless somehow... He needs answers, and you can't get answers from someone who's locked up. "Please don't arrest him." 10/10 way to vouch for your colleague. Simple, straightforward, and truthful about your intent.
"While I understand that he is your friend.. supposedly, how did he get into the Xianzhou?", Tingyun fans herself. Is it really that hot, especially near Kevin? (Or was this just the author's attempt at not having three full lines of dialogue and add some form of action?)
"Yeah! It's not as if you could just stroll onto a Xianzhou ship!", March said.
"..I believe.. it's really because I sort of.. just manifested here? I.. need to explain. It's a long story."
When he was playing shogi with the mysterious entity, it had revealed itself to be a supercomputer named Nous, also called the Aeon of Erudition and offered for him to become a member of this 'Genius Society'.
He was then dropped in the Luofu.
A strange turn of events, isn't it?
"So, that's what happened."
"You were gazed upon by Nous!? That Nous!? The- Oh my god..!! Could you be an Emanator of Erudition..!?", March 7th's eyes were wide with shock.
"Yeah, something you'll never become."
"We're followers of Akivili, Stelle. You never will either, even if we aren't Trailblazers.", March rolled her eyes. "But anyway, are we REALLY sure that it's true?"
"Don't worry, benefactors. We'll take him to the Sky-Faring Commission, and there we can ask Madam Yukong.", Tingyun said. "And do not worry, every Amicassador knows their way around a starskiff."
So, the starskiff zooms off into the distance.
"Well, to the dear honored guests, On behalf of the Sky-Faring Commission, allow me to welcome you to Starskiff Haven. On the Xianzhou Luofu, anything relating to aviation, navigation, and trade falls within the scope of the Sky-Faring Commission, which is one of the six commissions of the Luofu. As the biggest port on the ship, Starskiff Haven is governed by the Sky-Faring Commission, too.", Tingyun said.
"You definitely sound like a... what was it again...? Oh, Amicassador! By which I mean — nice speech."
"That's too kind of you. My job involves ferrying business delegates to and from Starskiff Haven, so I do this kind of introduction all the time. Anyway, we're safe now. Normally I'd be a good host and take you around. But these are difficult times. Let's head to the Palace of Astrum first and report your arrival to Madam Yukong, as well as find the truth of your friend's case."
"Palace of Astrum?", March tilted her head.
There the building was. You would have to be blind to not see it.
"Right there, the tallest building in the city. It's also the headquarters of the Sky-Faring Commission. Let's hurry. We haven't got much time."
Suddenly, Stelle pretended to faint. "Oh me, oh my! I'll suddenly pass out and die if you would not give me a break.. Oh, please, beautiful and amazing Foxian, give me a break!", she bats her eyelashes.
