I was glad that I had a class with Olympia. But suddenly things seem a little akward with us. Did I do something? I shook the thought from my head after we left the pavilion where we had our first class. I was following the rest of my cabin to our next class. I was walking next to Annabeth so I asked her, "What is our next class?" She answered me quickly, "Sword fighting. I guess we will get to see how good you are with that knife. I'll be training with you alone so I can give you tips and see how you do." I smiled and nodded my head. I reached down and pulled out my short sword from the holster on my hip. The sword fits perfectly in my hand. It is very light, and I can easily move it around. We finally stopped at an open field, and I followed Annabeth to the back corner. She pulled out her dagger. "Okay. First, let's just see if you can defend yourself. You need to move fast and prepared. Stand on the balls of your feet. Don't just throw the sword out. Be stealthy." She said, giving me helpful tips. I nodded. I started switching the pressure between my feet. I held my sword up. She nodded her head and stepped forward. She swung forward, her dagger coming towards my head. I did what my instincts were telling me, and I deflected her swing with my blade, I then pushed her dagger back. She thrust her dagger straight forward to my face, so I ducked and turned all the way around, while still leaning down. I swung forward at her stomach. She pushed my sword back and jumped at me, while swinging at my face. I deflected her swing and jumped back. We continued doing this for about 10 minutes. We were panting when we finished. "Okay. You are really talented at sword fighting. Most people can't keep going against me for that long. Well done." I smiled. "Thanks. So what's next." She put her sword in the holster around her waist. "That's all for sword training today. Tomorrow, we work on offense. This will be fun. But for now, we go to rock climbing with the Hades cabin. There are only a few kids there."I nodded and started following her. It was about a 5 minute walk, past a volleyball area, an archery range, which I saw Olympia at, and the big house. When I saw Olympia, she was standing with her bow up. She was still for a few minutes, and when she released the arrow, it glided straight to the middle of the target. A blonde kid standing next to her gave her a high five and she smiled. She looked over and saw me and waved. I grinned and gave her a thumbs up. When we finally arrived, there were already a few kids standing there. I guess that they are the Hades cabin. I saw the kid from the night we got here, Nico. He was standing with his cabin, talking to them. I looked at the wall that we were climbing, and I could barely keep my mouth from dropping open . There was lava, yes real lava, cascading down the wall. I heard a buzzing sound, and it stopped flowing. "Why was there lava on that?" I asked Annabeth. She looked at the wall and back at me. "When you start climbing, lava starts coming onto the wall. You have to get to the top before it's completely covered in lava. It's mainly for motivation. And if you ever actually get in a situation like that. But a quick tip, don't focus on it, just climb, but that's only if you want to get to the top without any burns." She explained. I think she saw me shaking, because she patted my shoulder. I took a deep breathe. Nico and the other kids walked over to us. "Hey. Who's going first?" Nico said. Annabeth replied, "You can. And then the rest of your cabin. Then we will go." Nico nodded and stepped over to the wall. He signaled at the fawn, and I heard a beep. Nico jumped up onto the wall. He was scurrying up the wall. Lava started flowing out. I was getting nervous. But Nico was fast. He reminds me of a squirrel climbing up a tree. I giggled at that comparison. Before I knew it, a buzzer was going off, and Nico was at the top. Wow he is fast. Then the rest of his cabin went, one kid almost got caught by the lava. I was nervous for everyone. I was a wreck by the time that it was Annabeth's turn. She wasn't as fast as Nico, but she was fast enough. She climbed the wall like an expert. Knowing exactly the path to take. I followed her, watching her every move, trying to get any tips I could. I observed the way she would boost her self up, and how she quickly decided which way to go and what to grab. She didn't even pay attention to the lava. Time went by quickly, and before I knew it, all of my brothers and sisters had gone. I took a deep breathe and Annabeth gave me a reassuring smile. I stood at the bottom, while looking all the way up. Don't look down, and don't look at the lava. You can do this. I stood there for a second, then I signaled the fawn to start. When I heard the beep, I quickly jumped up on the wall. I focused only on where I put my hands and feet. I almost slipped once, but I quickly recovered. I was scurrying up the wall as quick as I could. I made it to the top quickly. And a buzzer went off. I smiled and took a deep breathe, thankful that it was over. I didn't want to look down, so I slowly pulled myself down the wall. Paying careful attention to where I put my hands and feet. When I made it to the bottom, I jumped down on the ground and I looked at everyone. They all looked shocked. Annabeth stepped forward, "How did you do that?" I looked at her weirdly. "Do what?" I asked her with a questioning tone to my voice. "How did you get up there so fast?! You beat even Nico's time!" Did I? I looked at Nico and he nodded. "I don't know. I just did it I guess." Annabeth just smiled, with a proud look on her face. Nico stepped forward, "Well, how about we race up there?" I grinned and nodded. The wall was just big enough for the both of us to fit with a little extra space to move. We each got ready at the bottom. "Are you both ready?" The fawn asked us. I looked at Nico and he nodded. I gave the fawn a thumbs up. He waited a few seconds and then pressed the button. A beep sounded, and I wasted no time jumping onto the wall. I moved my body as fast as I could. I didn't look over at Nico, because it would only take away precious time. I could barely see the lava in the side of my vision, which made me move faster. I placed my hands wherever I could put them. When I got up to the top, I flung my hand out to hit the button. Right when I pushed it, Nico pushed his. It was a tie. He grinned at me as the lava went away. We both climbed down. "Well, you are really good at this." Nico said to me. He held his hand out, ready to give me a high-five. I slapped my hand against his and grinned. He looks adorable when he grins like that. I tried to stop the blush from showing when that thought popped into my head. I pushed the thought out of my head completely. Then I hugged Annabeth. And we were ready to go to our next class. I don't think that life can get any better than this.
