Pagtapos kong kausapin sina Mommy, nagkulong ako magdamag sa condo at nanood ng comfort movies ko. I set aside all the problems I had yesterday, it was such a pain. I didn't expect that I could know the truth behind my parents' separation, it hurts awful knowing it. I also had a few realizations in life; maybe Dad loved Tita Kristen back then, or perhaps he wanted to continue loving her but it's forbidden. It hurts thinking that maybe Dad considered us as a second option, that he returned to Mom because loving Tita Kristen is too late.
First love theory is really dangerous. Bukod tanging alam mo ay naka-move forward ka na sa taong minahal mo ng sobra pero hindi pa rin pala; your feelings genuinely returned when you meet them after a long time of not seeing them. Man's first love theory they say, kahit nahanap mo na ang papakasalan mo habang buhay pero bumalik ang greatest love mo, you get really confused and it's sad to think of it.
Chase called me last night he's in front of my condominium building. He dropped me some food at kinumusta ako. He didn't stay longer because he didn't want to interrupt me, and I understand that. Nagluluto ako ng breakfast when the doorbell rang, pumunta ako ng front door upang tingnan kung sino iyon.
"Hi, good morning!" Blaze said and handed me a bouquet. I almost forgot that I have a suitor, geez.
"What are you doing here?"
Tumawa siya. "What's with that response? Parang hindi ka masaya na nandito ako, Seah... It's been a month since I saw you, galit ka pa rin ba sa akin?"
Umiling ako at pinuntahan ulit ang aking niluluto. "Sorry, marami lang akong inaalala these days. Nag-breakfast ka na?"
"Yup," aniya. "Your mom suggested I persuade you to take a day off from work today, she's telling me na may nanggugulo sa 'yo."
Kumunot ang noo ko. "What do you mean?"
"She said you have a stalker named Chase. Ayun 'yung engineer, 'di ba?" saad niya. "He's a dick, bakit ka ba niya ginugulo? You want me to talk to him?"
My fists clenched. What the fuck did he just say?
"Don't call him a dick! And he's not even my stalker. Huwag kang maniwala kay Mommy!" sigaw ko.
"Uh-oh! Why are you even defending him? Bakit hindi ko papaniwalaan ang mommy mo?"
"Shut up, Blaze, okay? Don't even make me start."
He hissed. "Bakit mas kinakampihan mo pa ang lalaking 'yon kaysa sa mommy mo? Unless you have something with him."
"Ano naman kung meron?" Dinuro ko siya. "Stop being nosy in my life, will you?"
Hinawakan niya ang palapulsuhan ko. Hinigpitan niya ang hawak doon kaya't napa-aray ako sa sakit.
