Opal was fast asleep, I sighed in relief that Opal and River were finally home.

I got in the van and sat next to her, “Opal, Opal, your home now” I said stroking her head, she let out a little grumble as she woke up, Opal looked up at me, then rested her head on my lap, closing her eyes, “no, no, don’t go back to sleep, let’s get you to our comfy bed, you not want your bed?” I said touching her eat, making it twitch, she got up on her front paws, her butt still on the bed of the van.

She looked into my eyes then letting her wet nose touch mine, “would you like my help or would you like to shift? DR Shelley said that you can” Opal shook her head then started to sniff my neck “is my heat coming?” I laughed.

Opal didn’t need to much help, she struggled a little with the stairs, Opal got onto her bed, she seems exhausted, just from getting out the van to her room, Atlas shocked Pasha and I when she got on the bed to, “ok, Opal, River, I'm going to go and find Eve, I will come back and visit you later” “Pasha, I would like to talk to you in my office before that, Atlas, please look after my mate until I return” “will do”.

Walking towards my office, I could tell that Pasha was getting nervous, the closer we got.

“So, what do you want to talk to me about?” “Relax, it’s nothing bad, but it’s not good either, there are two things I would like to discus with you, first, I would like to offer you a position in the office, you have been a real big help with the designs of the second pack house and the all-round handling of it, I can tell that you are someone I could trust to help me” “I would be honoured to, thank you so much” “the job and the second thing comes together, it comes with the job, Atlas, please do not abandon her, she loves you so much, it’s quite unsettling to be honest, she's been a god send for me this week, she has helped me with the office, all she spoke about was you and River, she revealed to me…” do I tell him that I know about Eve and the non-existent pup? No, “she told me that she got sexually assaulted by Victor and that you swore to protect her, I understand that you have been with Opal and River for the last few days, but before that, you have distanced yourself from her, just because Eve is with pup, please do not abandon her, if you do then, there will be no job for you” “she told you what happened with Victor?” “Yeah, she did” “I love Atlas so much, but Eve is with pup, she needs me” “take it from me, she doesn’t need your help, back to the job if you accept, is mapping and planning where to put a farm” “farm?”

After he got over the initial shock of arranging a farm set up, he seemed excited, saying that River would love it, he said that he was going to get some advice from True Alpha Leo from there old pack as they were farmers, maybe I should shift and ask her about it?

Back up at the room I still hopefully share with River, Opal and Pixie were fast asleep, I pulled up the chair from River’s dresser, I sat there watching them sleep, Atlas had shifted, I suppose so they could talk.

Hours ticked pasted and they still slept, Pasha came back to the room to give Opal her medication, “how have they been? Good I hope” “they both have been asleep since I got back from the office, they really get on well” “I'm happy to see them happy, they instantly become friends, my mate and my best friend becoming friend, being friends is the best feeling” “how did it go with Eve?” He signed and shook his head; did she tell him finally?

“That bad?” “she just chewed me out for spending to much time with Opal and River and no time with her, honestly, she is really starting to stress me out with wanting me all the time, she also wasn't happy that you offered me the job in the office, she told me to turn it down and keep my website designing job that I don’t really like” so she still hasn’t told him and she's trying to keep him away from me, “has Eve seen a Doctor? Does she know when she's due?” “No, not yet, she said that she doesn’t trust Doctors, she wants a natural birth, she just wants me 24/7” “like I said in the office, do not abandon Atlas” “I won’t, just look at Pixie and Opal curled up like that, I'm happy that I kept on and on at River to come to this pack and become friends, its sad that Eve instantly disliked her, probably as I spoke about her all the time didn’t help”.

Pixie stirred as she woke up, Pasha walked to the bed and stroked her back, also giving her a kiss in the top of the head, “come on sleepy head, let Opal sleep alone” Pixie she shook her head and let out a whine, “come on, Pixie” “Pasha, leave her, she's fine, come to eat dinner with me, I will get Jimmy to send up their food”.

It was strange just eating with just Pasha, usually we have River sat between us, keeping the conversation going, all of a sudden Eve came storming into the dinning hall “Pasha, where have you been? You said you was just going to give Opal her medication, then you were going to come straight back” “first I never said that I would be straight back, what I said was ‘I will see you later’ second, the True Alpha asked me to have dinner with him, was I meant to decline the Alpha’s invitation, for us to do what? Just to sit in my room and do nothing? I will pass” “how dare you talk to me like that? I'm carrying you pup” I turned around, my eyebrows risen with a half smirk on my face, “Pasha, did any one tell you about the speech I made a few nights ago about liars?” I did not look away from Eve, she was getting more and more red, “yeah, Atlas told me, I'm the same, I fucking hate liars, I don’t know how you could lie to your loved ones, silly little lies are ok I suppose, like if a pup asks if you like there picture and its shit, you say wow its good, that little lie is ok, not big ones that could destroy some one’s life” “Eve, would you like to sit with us? I'm sure yourself and the… Pup is hungry” she gone from red faced to pale as a ghost, “n…n… no, I'm fine, I've already eaten” “no you haven’t, just go and get some food and come and sit down, you never know, he may give our pup his blessing”.

A blessing is from a True Alpha, the pup, typically male, would be taken under the True Alpha’s wing, if the True Alpha has no pup, then the pack would go to the Lycan with the blessing.

“Yeah, maybe, please join us, I would like to know how you and the pup that you are growing are, not many Lycan’s know this but I lost a pup years ago, I will talk about it at some point” I want to guilt her into telling the truth.
