It was a few days before I shifted back into human form, ever since I got here, I've spent more time in wolf form than I ever did in my old pack, it was nice letting Opal have control, I know she doesn’t really like it much, I love seeing how her and Titan act around each other.

At breakfast, I could see Asha having breakfast with Robin and her family, they looked so happy together, well, until now, his hell is going to be revealed, very soon.    

I asked Huxley to grab me some breakfast so I can go and talk to Asha, “hello” I said touching Asha’s shoulder, he looked you at me, “River, your back” he got up and hugged me, “yeah, I only need a few days to heal, Robin, how are you?” “I'm fine, thanks for asking, you were in a worse state than I was” she said in a low voice, “after breakfast, I'm stealing Asha for him punishment” the table looked concerned, “punishment?” Asha said as he let me go, “yeah, you need to be punished for your actions, what you did was a crime, I've talked to Huxley and he let me punish you in a way I see fit” “what is it going to be?” “Oh, I don’t know” then I started to cluck like a chicken, “no, no, not that” I continued to cluck, I folded my arms and flapped them as I clucked, walking away, he followed me with his pleads of not wanting to do it, I did it all the way to the table Huxley sat at.

“Hello Alpha Huxley” “morning Asha, you look in high spirits” “Erm, yeah” “so has River told you your punishment?” “Yeah but…” “do you not like your punishment? Would you like to be branded and kicked out?” “no, I will take River’s punishment” “good choice, run along chicken boy, go eat your breakfast, there will be a lot of egg’s to collect, I think omelettes for breakfast tomorrow” Asha nodded as he ran back to Robin’s table, “Koza, I wasn’t going to kick him out, just to let you know, I just wanted to scare him a little” “Huxley, that was a little mean” I said tugging at his hair, “how? You were clucking like a fucking chicken” “Huxley language, when the pup comes, you will have to stop the bad language” Koza said covering Harvi’s ears, Reed wasn’t paying attention, he was just eating like a good little pup.

“What? You still swear” “yeah, not in front of the pup’s” Huxley put his hand on my non-existent belly and said “sorry little pup for swearing” kissing my belly “please sit-down River, I'm starving” “what? Don’t be silly, you can eat” “not in this pack, a True Alpha’s mate has to start eating before him” “since when?”

Come to think of it, I had noticed, when I was in wolf form, he made sure I started my food before he ate anything, I just thought he was making sure I ate something as my apatite was shit at the moment.

“Since forever, the True Alpha’s mate has to eat first, then he can start to eat, to make sure that his pregnant mate is eating properly, why should a True Alpha be allowed to eat when his pregnant mate doesn’t” Koza told me as Huxley was still rubbing my belly.

“Ok, I'm sitting down now so you can start eating” he shook his head, I picked up my knife and fork and started eating my breakfast.

I was half way through my food before Huxley started to eat, “are you going to do this every meal?” He nodded as he ate, the way he was eating was like he hadn’t eaten in a few days and was starving, “it’s the only rule that the True Alpha will never break, other rules are like guide lines, there’s another eating one, no one should eat before the True Alpha eats, but that one stopped with our grandfather, when out grandmother was pregnant with our father, she stopped eating for three days, that meant the True Alpha didn’t eat, that meant the pack didn’t eat” Koza told me instead of Huxley, who was piling the food in his mouth, like an animal, “oh dam it, sorry Huxley, I didn’t have any dinner last night, I didn’t feel to great, that’s why you didn’t eat anything last night, no wonder you are so hungry now, sorry I won’t do it again” I said kissing his chubby cheeks that were full of food.

I had finished my food as Atlas walked in the dining hall, I gave Huxley the rest of my food as I stood up, he gladly took it.

“No Pasha? No pup?” “No, Skoll isn’t settling at night” “maybe he needs an Aunty River cuddle so Mummy and Daddy can get some sleep, I don’t mind having him for the night” “REALLY? Would you do that” she said, her eyes welling up like she was going to burst in to tears if I said it was a joke, “of cores, I’m taking Asha down to the farm for his punishment, he has to tend to the chickens” “oh no, he hates the chickens” she laughed, “Pasha told me what he did” “I feel kind of responsible for what happened, as he did come to me but Huxley and I were... busy, I’m going to talk to him, I did want to do it sooner but I’ve been in wolf form to heal, but looking at it, Robin has forgiven him, I think her parents have come around to the idea that they will eventually be mated, don’t forget to tell Pasha that Huxley and I will have Skoll tonight” “will Huxley be ok with that?” “We will find out, even if he moans, we will still have the pup so don’t worry about him” “I don’t want Huxley to be mad at me, thinking I’m pushing Skoll onto everyone” “he won’t be, not for long anyway, he will say that he don’t want to have the pup but then in the same breath he wants him and takes to hold him, he is the same with Reed and Harvi, he is a big softy at heart” “as long as you are sure” “defiantly, there will be many chances to return the favour down the road, I better go and get Asha for my entertainment, oh I mean his punishment to start” “thanks River, I really appreciate it”.

Atlas went to get here food as I turned in Asha’s direction, “COME ON CHICKEN BOY, IT’S TIME” “DON’T CALL ME THAT”.
