We left just after lunch as Petra asked me to make a few phone calls about the shop, just to authorise some payments, RJ and Petra were dealing with everything but I still need to authorise all the fine details.

The drive was nice, to start off it was a little rough, but once I had gotten the hang of it, it was smooth sailing, it took longer than I thought it would, River said it was a few hours away, it took 6 hours driving.

It was getting dark out when we pulled up outside River’s Nan’s place, she was getting really excited, I helped her out the car as she said that her legs were hurting, “Huxley, just to warn you, River’s Nan is crazy” “don’t listen to him, she's not crazy, she just doesn’t like you Pasha as when I was younger, 13 may I add, that you was going to mate with me later that night” my unctuous reaction was to pull River closer to me, “its ok Huxley, nothing happened and nothing ever will, I have you” she said, I lent down to kiss her, I know that they are really close, but are they to close? We all got up to the door and River quickly opened it, shouting “SURPRISE” there was a female Lycan, I'm assuming is her Nan and an unknown male, kissing, “Nan? Alpha Leo? What are you doing?” They quickly stepped away from each other, “River, what are you doing here?” she said surprised, “I came to see you, I haven’t spoken to you for a while, I wanted to surprise you and let you meet my mate Huxley” “you should have called a head of time, I would have made dinner, I don’t have anything cooked” “and not get caught kissing the Alpha” Pasha laughed.

“Mind your tongue, don’t forget that you are the ones trespassing on my land” the Alpha said in a raised voice, I didn’t like the way he spoke to a member of my pack, “what two grown Lycan’s get up to in there spare time has nothing to do with you” I said to Pasha, “Nan, how long has this been going on?” “Not long after you left, I was lonely and was missing you terribly, Alpha Leo was here to comfort me” “looks like he did more then just comfort you” Pasha laughed again.

I turned to him, annoyed, “if you can’t say anything nice, then keep your fucking mouth shut, like Alpha Leo said, we are trespassing” Pasha quickly stopped laughing, “I apologise for one of my pack members, I brought my mate to see her Grandmother, if now isn’t good time, we could come back another day, announced”.

River looked up at me, her bottom lip pouted out, I gave her a gentle kiss and said, “don’t be sad, we will come back when your Nan is ready to receive guests” “no, no, please stay” her Nan pleaded.

We all sat down, there wasn’t enough seats so Atlas sat on the floor, “River, how about you introduce everyone” I said putting my hand on her leg, “oh, yeah, this is my Nan Maxine, that’s Alpha Leo, he's the True Alpha of this pack, you all know Pasha, the one sat on the floor is Atlas, she is Pasha’s mate” “I feel sorry for the little one, please go and get tested regularly” “shut it old hag” “I will go and get my pan” “QUIET, the pair of you, continue River” Alpha Leo shouted “this here is my mate, Alpha Huxley, he is the True Alpha of my new pack, the Blood Rose” “you haven’t been in that pack very long, when did you become mates?” Maxine said concerned.

River looked down at her twisted hands like she was getting scolded, “we mated when River was heat, two weeks or so” “River, why didn’t you tell me?” River still didn’t talk, “when Opal and Titan were getting closer on a pack run, there was an accident, Opal fell down a very steep hill, she broke one of her back legs and severely hurt the other one, she couldn’t shift back, I'm 100% to blame for her getting hurt, she didn’t know how rough the terrain was, but I let her run with us, she only shifted back last night and I wanted to cheer her up by coming to visit you” “I didn’t try to hide it from you” River finally spoke,. “Titan? Huxley? Are you the feral one? How dare you mate with my Granddaughter, River, come over here, he is dangerous, how could you be that reclus? I would you rather of mated with Pasha” “Nan, please don’t say things like that, I love Huxley” “how do you know that its love? River burst out crying “Maxine, she is your Granddaughter” “River, get up, we are leaving” I said standing up, Alpha Huxley, please sit down” “why should I? my mates only family is sitting there calling her a whore for falling in love with me, it is unexpectable, or are you just lashing out because you got caught with your own packs Alpha? Now who’s the whore?”

“WHAT?” Maxine shouted “Maxine, calm down, River, take everyone to my house, stay there until I come back, let me talk to Maxine” he through the keys at her, she tried to catch them but failed, I picked the keys up off the floor, I held out my hand for River to take, she took it, I pulled her up to her feet then I picked her up, she wrapped her arms and legs around me, “Pasha, Atlas, let’s go”.
