The Feral Mate

Chapter 36

Pasha took me to a shop full of phone's, there were so many different ones, I didn’t know what one to choose, I told Pasha that I wanted one the same as Rivers, he did try to get me to get a better one but I didn’t want that, the gentleman that worked there set the phone up for me, I think he could tell I didn’t have a clue that I was doing.

Pasha put a few apps on it that I needed and a few numbers to get me started, he did try to tell me how to use it but it seemed to go in one ear and out the other, he asked me if I wanted to be the admin on our pack group chat, I just looked at him blankly, he made fun of me, calling me an old man, just like Petra did, do they still not realize, I'm still classed as a feral, over the next few years, I need to predominantly stay in human form, staying in wolf form for five years, you forget things like using a phone and driving, its stuff you don’t need as a wolf.

On our way back to the pack house, the phone kept buzzing, “is this thing going to do this all the time?” “You are such an old man” Pasha laughed,  “its hard to adjust to this, I know its only been five years, but it feels like a lifetime ago, I've forgotten loads of things” “you will remember in no time, you remembered how to do the paperwork straight away, you have River and myself to help you” “Opal wants to shift, she wants me to help her” “wow, that’s fantastic news, as much as I love seeing Opal, I do miss River” “well if you put your foot down, you will be able to see her sooner”.

Opal and Pixie were waiting under the tree where I left them this morning, “have you not moved from this spot all day?” I said as I crouched down in front of Opal, stroking her head, Pixie got up and started walking over to Pasha, “PASHA” we all heard Eve shout, “sorry Pixie, maybe we can so go for a run later, let me just go see what she wants”.

Pixie laid back next to Opal, laying her head on Opal’s paw, “don’t worry Pixie, Atlas, Eve’s time is nearly up” I touched her ear, Opal laid her head down on to of Pixie’s, “wait, look what I just got” I said pulling out my new phone, “I'm sure Pasha said that I can take photos with it, how did he say to do it? Shit, I can’t remember, is it this button?” I think I pressed all the buttons on the screen, until the camara opened up, “ah here it is, smile” I snapped a few pictures of them.

“They seem to be having fun” Pasha said behind me, I was so engrossed in taking the pictures, I didn’t hear him until he spoke, “pass me the phone, go stand next to Opal, there should be some photos of you two”, I handed him the phone and stood next to Opal, it was awkward, I started to take my clothes off “Huxley what are you doing? Its not that sort of photo shoot” “Opal and Titan should be pictured together; I know without hearing her voice that she wants Titan more than me” I looked down at Opal, she looked excited for Titan, it hurt me a little bit, it was Titan’s fault that Opal and River are like this in the first place.

I took the rest of my clothes off and quickly shifted, ‘hello Opal’ Titan greeted her as he bowed his head, ‘hello Titan’ she sounded happy, it still hurt that she wanted him, ‘hello Titan, go sit by Opal and look at Pasha’ Pixie said moving away from Opal and going to stand next to Pasha.

Titan sat next to Opal who got up to a sitting position, she started to clean Titan, she's never done that before, ‘Opal if I were you, I would stop, Titan is getting really excited, if you know what I mean’ she quickly stopped looking away embarrassed, as did Pixie, ‘n... n… no I'm not’ he stuttered, ‘yeah right, so that’s not your dick hanging out?’.

Pasha took loads of photos, all from different angles, ‘I really want to see how they turn out’ River said, ‘you’re going to have to show me’ ‘what made you get a phone?’ its convenient, it means that I don’t have to rely on you nor Pasha, with being in wolf form, I've had to rely on you, Pashs and even Atlas’ ‘we don’t mind, we pledged to help you’ Atlas said, ‘and I'm really grateful for everything bit I should really start to do things for myself, there some things that have come straight back to me but others I need to learn from scratch, like the shops, I can’t remember how to run them, I didn’t have a clue to what to do when Crush got broken into, I'm so glad Petra and RJ sorted everything out before Pasha and I got there, having a phone will keep me updated’ ‘that’s a good idea’ ‘Atlas told me that you are ready to shift back?’ ‘Yeah, Opal feels ready to shift’, ‘I don’t want her to shift’ Titan said sounding upset, ‘I know that you want to be with Opal, but she needs to shift, do you want her to stay in wolf form and be classed as feral like us?’ ‘Yes, then we can be together forever, we could run away and live like this in wolf form’ its strange hearing him talk like that, Titan and I have spoken about this bit he has never said it to anyone else.

Opal cuddled up against Titan, ‘I'm really happy to hear that you want to stay with me but… I honestly feel more confutable in human form’ ‘then what about me? if you stay in human form then we will never see each other’ ‘how about this, we work with Huxley’s schedule and we make time to shift so that you both can be together, is that ok?’ River said softly to Titan that was getting himself worked up, when he is like this, it’s hard to force a shift, that’s if I could in the first place, he didn’t want to answer River, he wants Opal to himself.

Titans didn’t speak, nor move, he didn’t want Opal to shift back, the two of us pleaded with him but nothing was working, River and I both knew that Opal was the only one that could get through to him, she started rubbing her head around his neck to calm him down, it was working, Titan would lean into her as she moved around him, them out of the blue, Opal whispered, ‘Titan, would you like to mate with me?’

It shocked us all in to silence, Opal is so sweet and innocent, she is the polar opposite of River, ‘Opal, are you sure about this? I know Titan, he can get a little rough when he mates’ ‘I'm sure, I know it might be painful for my first time, but I think I can do it’ ‘you need to be really sure, we are still in quite a bit pain in our legs’ ‘why the hell are you both trying to talk her out of it? If she wants to mate with me, then we can, keep your mouths shut, Opal, let’s go into the woods for some privacy’ Opal struggled to her feet and followed Titan to the woods.
