He took me to bed, he left some snacks and a drink next to the bed for me, for when I wake up.

I slept for nearly 24 hours ‘wow this heat really took it out of us’ Opal said ‘yeah, it did, but think of the end result, fingers crossed we are going to be with pup’ ‘I can’t wait, how long before we can take a test?’ she said excited, ‘a week at least, if not two’ ‘two weeks? That’s to long, one week should be enough’ I laughed at Opal’s wining.

I went back the farm the next day, I hadn’t got all my strength back, I was still tired, I should have rested longer, Huxley fucked me so good I needed more time to recover but this was all my own fault for riling him up like that, “River, how did it go? You with pup?” Asha whispered as there were a few Lycan’s close to us, “I won’t know just yet” “I can’t wait to be an uncle” “uncle? You won’t be an uncle to the pup, Koza will be the uncle, you will be their cousin” “no, I want to be called Uncle Asha, that sounds so cool, not cousin Asha” “you will have to wait till Reed or Harvi have pups” “just Reed” “you still going on about that shit? Harvi is you brother if you like it or not” Asha ignored me and walked off.

I waited two weeks before buying a test to take, Opal and Asha have been pestering me all week to take it, Asha wanted to be with me when I took it, I would have liked to have Pasha with me also but Asha was really excited to be there.

The test was burning a hole in my pocket while I was in Huxley’s office talking to him and Koza “are you sure its ok for you to take Harvi? Its just that Reed is running a very high temp, I would like to take him to Doctor Shelley’s” “yeah, it’s totally fine, I will keep him with me until you get back” “thanks Rivers, I really appreciate it” “hang on, River, don’t you have a group coming to the retreat today?” Huxley said picking up the retreat guest book, “oh right, yeah, I do, I think there is 4 or 5 Lycan’s coming am I right?” “Yeah, there’s 4” “its fine, I've got Asha, if I need more help, I will give Brax a call”.

I met Asha at the retreat with Harvi, “why did you bring that thing?” “I swear, if you keep saying that, I'm going to punch you square in the face” “whatever, do you, have it?” I nodded as I pulled it out my pocket, “come on, lets go and take it” he said as he walked towards the bathroom, I followed.

“Here, take your brother and get out” “no way, I'm staying also I'm not touching that thing” “what did I just say?” I said hitting him over the head with the pregnancy test box, “I'm still not doing it” “fine, get out so I can pee on this thing” “no, I'm not leaving” “get out” I shouted, he quickly left.

Harvi was playing in the bath tub with a toilet roll, unravelling it, I quickly peed on the stick and put the cap on, I cleaned myself up before letting Asha back in, “are you with pup?” “I don’t know yet; it says it takes five minutes”.

These five minutes, were the longest five minutes of my life, “is it time yet?” Asha said as the timer went off on my phone, my hands were shaking “I don’t know if I can look, what if I'm not with pup? Do you think Huxley will leave me to find another mate that will give him a pup?” “What the hell are you saying, Huxley doesn’t even know that you are trying for a pup, just look at the fucking test before I do”.

I took a deep breath, I picked up the teat and turned it over, a dark blue cross was facing me, my hands shook even more “well? An I an uncle?”, I turned the test over to show him, tears streaming down my face, “that’s positive right?” “Yes, it is, I'm with pup” I cried as Asha hugged me, “its Huxley’s birthday next week, I can’t wait to tell him”.

It was Friday morning, Huxley’s birthday is on Monday, since I took the test last week, I've almost told him a dozen times, but stopped myself, I really wanted to tell him on his birthday, I wanted to give him something for his birthday that he really wanted.

I was hoping Brax would cover me this this weekend at the retreat, I had forgotten that he was away this weekend with his mate to go visit her family up north, Asha said that he can handle it alone but the Lycan’s that are coming this weekend seem a little rough around the edges, we beefed up security this weekend for the farm and retreat, I still had Harvi, Reed was in hospital, he had a serious infection and needed stronger antibiotics so a hospital stay was needed, so I said to Koza that Huxley and I will look after him until he comes home.
