I stretched as I climbed out of bed. I walked into my bathroom to brush my hair. I looked in the mirror. My brown eyes were surprisingly bright. I picked up my phone to look at the time. 12 P.M. No wonder why I feel so refreshed. I was pleased to see that the bags under my eyes were beginning to fade. It seemed that I had been so much more tired. I went to sleep earlier than Jake and Jamie and woke up after them. I brushed through my hair. Since it was naturally wavy, it tangled horribly. Similarly to the tips of Jamie's hair, it had magically turned ocean blue. When I was done, I went to the kitchen to make myself a sandwich. Jamie, who was already eating, smirked at me. "Hello there, Sleeping Beauty." I rolled my eyes. I glanced around to make sure that Jake wasn't near. "You know I haven't been sleeping well since-" I quickly stopped when Jake walked into the room. He smiled at me. "So you are finally awake!" I nodded. "Yeah. My college sleep schedule is really going to suck." We all ate lunch. "I finished packing for college yesterday. What about you guys?" Jake responded, "I'm finished too." We both looked at Jamie expectantly. She smiled wryly. "I'm pretty sure I'm basically finished."

After lunch, I went into Jamie's room. I opened her suitcase to see what was inside. I started laughing. There was one outfit in it. I turned to see that she was standing at the door. "I should have known that by 'almost done', you meant, 'hardly started.'" She grinned. "You know how much I love procrastinating. I chuckled. It was true. Jamie joined me and we both started grabbing her favorite clothing and putting it in her suitcase. I carefully folded everything I grabbed and put it in neatly, but Jamie carelessly threw stuff in there. "Even though we are sisters, we are so different," I said. "Opposites attract," Jamie replied with a smile. Jake knocked on the frame of the doorway. "Are you finally done packing, Jamie?" We both stood up and walked towards him. "Yeah. Only because I helped," I said, rolling my eyes. Jamie faked a hurt look. "I would have done it...eventually." We all went to the living room to talk. We discussed our plans for college. We were looking forward to so many things. None of us could have imagined that certain events would occur. We never suspected that things would eventually go horribly wrong.
