I had invited Thomas over under the guise of working on the project. In truth, we were planning on getting Christopher and Jamie together. The two of them were actually hanging out then, so we didn't have to worry about her overhearing anything. I pulled up Jamie's instagram and Thomas pulled up Chris'. "They are both still posting pictures. Just in case Jeff is looking." Thomas said. I smiled as I scrolled through. Seeing the two of them lying in the grass and smiling. It looked so real. It had to be real. "Jamie isn't a very good actress," I said abruptly. "Neither is Chris," Thomas replied. "That look in their faces...Jamie never looked that happy with Jeff. I truly think she actually likes him...They spent time together every day after my parents died. She told me that he is a great listener. I'm telling you she is smitten." Thomas nodded. "We have to make them see that. We need to come up with something awesome." I nodded. "It must be perfect." As I spoke, an idea started to form. I excitedly explained everything to Thomas. We worked everything out. "One more thing," Thomas said. "We need a name, so we can initiate it at any time. They will be none the wiser." I considered this for a moment. "Project Jamie x Chris?" He nodded. "Sounds good." I looked at my watch. We have an hour and a half before Jamie and Chris get back. We better work on the project. We both took out all of our paperwork and music. I scanned over the requirements again. "Okay. Along with learning how to play Toxic and writing the paragraphs about the differences between our parts, we need to be able to play it while it is sung." Thomas nodded. "I remember. What's the girl's name again? The one singing for us?" I rolled my eyes. "Jaylin." He smiled. "I knew it started with a J." I snorted. "Right." We got to work. Before long, we could more or less play through the song together. We both started writing our paragraph. When we finished, we had 30 minutes until Chris and Jamie would be back from their "date". I looked up at him. "I don't want to work with Jaylin right now." He smirked. "Neither do I." We were both silent as we stared into each other's eyes. Slowly, I pulled my feet up onto the couch. I tucked them underneath myself. I leaned forward. Our faces were inches apart. Thomas' eyes were filled with desire. Our breathing was ragged. I couldn't decide whether or not I wanted to kiss him. I collapsed backwards with a sigh. "I'm so sorry, Thomas. I just..." He smiled. "It's okay, Bella." I melted at the sight of his smile. I made a split second decision. I lunged forward, knocking him onto his back. I kissed him. Passionately. When we broke for air, he had a goofy smile on his face. "Ella Glynn, will you be my girlfriend?" For the first time, I didn't hesitate. "Yes!"
