We began to settle in over the next week. Amelia and Lilly seemed to be doing okay. They shared a room just across the hall. They were currently in our room, debating what our next step was. "We can't just sit here and wait," I said. "Or we're failing the HFA." Lilly nodded and then asked, "But what should we do?" Amelia sighed. "The better question is what can we do." All of us went silent. "This might be stupid," Ella murmured. "But what if we wrote a long speech about it, and spoke it in public? We could try to get attention." I nodded slowly. "But it would be very dangerous. We could be killed very quickly." Ella sighed. "That was my concern. Maybe we could find a way to get out of there quick if there's any violence," she muttered. "Honestly, it's the best thing we have right now," I said. "Maybe one of the dragons can help us get away." Amelia bit her lip. "It wouldn't be very inviting if we had dragon bodyguards surrounding us," she mentioned. "Doesn't Aurelius have a power like yours? He could make the dragons around us invisible, including himself," I pointed out. She nodded slowly. "You have a good point. Still dangerous, though." I grinned. "Hah. I laugh in the face of danger." Ella rolled her eyes. "We'd better get writing." She grabbed a piece of paper off the end table. "Where should we start?" I paused. "Hm..." I think I might have an idea..."

We spent most of the day writing, other than meals and the break I told to teach the dragons English, but after dinner Ryoko told us she wanted to show us something. We followed her through the intricate place, until we reached a large, open room. My eyes widened. It was stacked with training equipment. "We know of your plan to make hybrids legal," Ryoko started as she stepped into the room. "And we wanted to help you. We assumed you would need somewhere to train in case you have to fight." A grin spread across my face. "Thank you, Ryoko. It's so kind of you to spend your time doing this." The other three echoed my words. Ryoko dipped her head and left the room. I raced into the room, examining everything. There was an assortment of intricate weapons on the wall. "This is so cool," I murmured, brushing my fingers over the hilt of a golden sword. Ella was grinning too. "I can't believe they did this for us. It's so sweet of them." She rested her hand on a trident. "This looks pretty cool." She slowly took it down and tested it out. I took a bold golden and red sword down from the wall and swung it. I wasn't too amazing at sword fighting, but Jake was. He was training, so I had to as well. Amelia and Lilly were also trying out weapons. Amelia took out a bow, then a dagger. I had to admit, a dagger would be smart. Lilly seemed to like the bow she was holding. It was white and gold. I looked at my sister, smiling. "That weapon is perfect for her. The trident is perfect for you too," I added. Ella looked at the trident. "I think I like it," she decided. "That sword suits you." I smiled, then I grinned, coming up with an idea. "Let's spar." Ella smiled as well. I rammed my sword into her trident, and we fought.

We trained for the rest of the evening, probably until eleven or so. We practically passed out the moment we fell into our beds.
