Only a few minutes after we drove away from the beach house, we all solemnly agreed that we couldn't remain in contact with Thomas or Christopher. That left Arabella. The Hybrid Hunters didn't even know she existed. I typed out a message to her that we all took part in.
Arabella, as you will surely see on the news, the Hybrid Hunters found us. We can't stay here anymore. We can't tell anyone where we are going. There are some things that we request you tell Thomas and Christopher. One, all of the remaining charms are in our room. Two, we love them both so much. They need to go back to school. They need to stay inconspicuous. Tell them to take one of Magic Locators to Yale with them. Perhaps there are more students with magic. With charms, they will feel much more secure. They must continue to help in whatever ways they can. Also, Jamie made a fake email account to get emails from the Hybrid Hunters. It is Jonlucas@gmail.com. The password is I'mnotrealhahaha. This will also be the last communication we have with any of you. Please tell them all of this in person.
With tears running down my face, I sent the message. Once we were about an hour away from the beach house, Jamie stopped the car. I got out, holding all of our phones. I put them in the mailbox of the nearest house. We had a note attached. Consider these a gift. Clear the memory before you use them. I quickly got back into the car. "Has the decision been made?" I asked. Amelia nodded. "We are going back to the magic world."

Early the next morning, we arrived at the entrance to the tunnels. We had left the car a few miles back. "I will do everything in my power to ensure that there is peace in the human and magical world." The tunnel opened up and we climbed in. When we reached the other side, I almost cried. The last time we were in that exact spot, we were so happy and excited. I fell to my knees and ran my fingers through the charms. The magical plants were beautiful. We were all silent for a while. I got up and started walking past the field of charms. My friends followed me. We still didn't speak. We wandered around. We really didn't know where to go, except away from the border, which was surely full of Hybrid Hunters. After we had been walking for about half an hour, a dragon swooped down and landed a few feet away from us. "Jamie, isn't that-" She nodded. "The same dragon we saw before." She slowly approached the dragon. She opened her mouth to speak. The words that came out were not English. The dragon seemed to laugh at our surprised faces. The dragon continued to make noises, which Jamie understood. "She said, 'I see you can speak Draconic. Most dragon hybrids can.'" Jamie translated for us. The dragon continued. "Her name is Ryoko. She has been hoping we would come back since the first time she saw us. At 40 years old, her parents think she is too young to be flying out by herself, but she does it anyway." Jamie said. Amelia looked surprised. "40 is too young to be flying alone?" I shrugged. "I imagine dragons can live for centuries." Jamie spoke in Draconic again. "I introduced all of us and briefly explained our situation. I also told her what magic we each have." Ryoko made more noises then bent down. Jamie's eyes were full of amazement as she turned to us. "She wants to take us to her cave. There is magic there that prevents Rastreadors from being used to locate anyone." Lilly's skin began to glow. "That's amazing! We will be happy to stay there." Jamie translated while we climbed on Ryoko's back. Soon, we were up in the air. "This is really something," I breathed. "Much better than an airplane," Amelia joked. Ryoko made a grumbling noise. "She is upset that she can't understand us... Wait! I could teach her English," Jamie said. She repeated that in Draconic. Ryoko was clearly pleased. Jamie immediately got to work teaching the dragon English. It was quite amusing. Jamie would say things like, "Rooooaaaarrr hello." Ryoko focused for a moment then said, "Hello." Then Jamie made another strange noise, then said, "sorry." Ryoko repeated the word. This went on the entire time we were flying. When we landed, Ryoko let out a deafening roar. Suddenly, we were inside a huge cave. Dragons were soon surrounding us. A gigantic dragon that looked similar in form, but different in coloring to Ryoko walked forward. She had ocean blue scales that looked like waves. She looked angry. "Ryoko, why did you bring humans here?" Jamie translated quietly. Ryoko rolled her eyes. "Relax, mother. They have magic!" Jamie continued. All of the dragons looked extremely happy. "Prove it," Ryoko's mother said to us. Jamie smiled and started to speak in Draconic. She then let her fiery wings appear. She flew off of Ryoko's back. Lilly too let her delicate wings appear and flew down to the ground. Amelia disappeared then reappeared on the ground next to Lilly. Deciding to show off, I formed a slide made up of water. I slid down it and landed next to my friends. "Literal water slide. Nice," Amelia said to me. Ryoko's father grinned. He spoke in Draconic and Jamie translated for us again. "My dragons, today we welcome four humans with magic. Treat them well." Another dragon stepped forward. She was a water dragon, with blue ombré scales. "My brother, Viserion, Chief of the Dragons, we will all abide by your wishes. We are quite excited to have humans here again. Ryoko, show them to their rooms." Ryoko nodded and replied, "Of course, Aunt Seraphina." We followed her out of the main room. The bedroom she led us to was clearly meant for humans. Still, the beds were large. Ryoko attempted to speak in English. "This room for Jamie and Ella." Jamie clapped her hands together and praised Ryoko in Draconic. Ryoko then left and led Amelia and Lilly to their room. As we settled in, I sighed. I looked at Jamie. "Who knew we would be staying with dragons?" She shook her head. "I am just as disbelieving as you." Suddenly, I remembered Arabella. We had also set up the connection with our bags of our personal belongings. Almost everything we had Kathy bought for us. We both pulled our journals out and began writing.
November 16, 2019
Amelia, Lilly, Jamie and I just met a dragon. We met Ryoko while fleeing from our best friend. We couldn't believe that Jake had betrayed us. Still..maybe I imagined it, but I could have sworn that I saw him mouth two words; I'm sorry. After that, he held up the tracking device and walked in the opposite direction, as if it was leading him somewhere else. Had Jake betrayed us only to then let us go? It made no sense. I haven't had much of a chance to talk to the others yet. Maybe they saw the same thing.
I could tell by the look on Jamie's face that she was writing about Jake. I saw anger and tears in her eyes. In fact, her entire body was tense with anger. After I finished writing I laid back on the bed. All of the stress from the last several months hit me at once. I started sobbing. I was sobbing for my parents and for all of the other magical people we couldn't save in time. I cried for my lost friendship with Jake. Most of all, I cried for Thomas. As I dozed off, I had one last terrifying thought. What if I never see him again?
