Thomas and Chris started to lead us through the house. Thomas paused in front of a closed door and turned towards us. "I'm positive that you will find this to be the most spectacular room in this house." Chris grinned. "Ladies, behold..." Thomas opened the door and they both exclaimed, "THE CLOSET!" We all started laughing. I pretended to inspect it. "Nicest closet I've ever seen." Jamie chuckled. "The sad thing is, that's probably true." Thomas continued to walk down the hall. Once again, he paused grandly in front of a door. He cracked it. "I must warn you, the pure beauty may astound you." He opened it the rest of the way and flicked on the light to reveal... a bathroom. "Now that I have had my fun, I will spare you," Thomas said. Chris glanced back at us. "He didn't do me the same favor the first time I came here." The next rooms seemed to blur by. A kitchen. Three more bathrooms. His parents' bedroom. Two guest bedrooms. Several living rooms. "Now, in all honesty, I think this room is gorgeous. It is yours as long as you wish to stay." He opened the door. We walked in and Chris continued the commentary. "Both of the beds are queen sized. The windows have remote-controlled blinds. The nightstands are made out of steel. Therefore, they are nearly impossible to wear down. I must warn you, it hurts so damn bad if you stub your toe." Jamie started laughing way harder than I thought was necessary. My eyes widened as I took everything in. I plopped down onto one of the beds. It was 10 times more comfortable than all of the beds I had ever slept in combined. I sighed contentedly. "Did you win the lottery or something?" Thomas grinned. "Yes, actually. For 5 million dollars. My parents already had very well paying jobs on top of that." Jamie, Amelia, Lilly, and I all gasped. "That's insane," Lilly said. We unpacked our bags. I sighed when we were done. "This room really is too big. Especially since we had to leave everything except what we had with us at the moment at Yale." Thomas smiled. "Well, I did manage to get something. I'll be right back." Bemused, I stood there waiting. When he returned, he was holding me and Jamie's journals. I paled. "DID YOU READ IT?" I snatched the journal away from him and held it to my chest. He chuckled. "I know better." I sighed in relief. Even though we were dating, I did not want him to read all of the lustful things I had written. Jamie casually took her journal from Thomas. She was acting like she didn't care, but I knew she did. Suddenly, Thomas' eyes lit up. "Jamie, have you heard of fire meditation?" Chris rolled his eyes. "Will you ever let that go?" Jamie raised an eyebrow. "I'm curious now." Chris took her by the shoulders and said, "You must resist." We all laughed. Thomas started to walk out of the room. "Follow me." Jamie looked at us and we all shrugged. The next room he led us into had a gigantic TV and several couches. Underneath the TV was a huge fireplace. It wasn't lit. Amelia smirked. "I think I see where this is going." Lilly nodded. "Me too. Only... clothes are flammable." Jamie shook her head. "Have you learned nothing? Magical fire doesn't burn clothing. Unless we want it to." She turned back towards Thomas. "I'll help you light it." They walked closer to the fireplace and set the wood aflame. "What now?" Jamie asked. Thomas grinned. "I'm so excited! I have been waiting all my life to have someone to do this with. Now, we climb in!" They both stepped into the fireplace and sat down, their legs crossed. "Let's start with some breathing exercises," Thomas said. He closed his eyes. "How about square breathing?" Jamie said. "Perfect," Thomas agreed. I turned to Amelia, Chris, and Lilly. "They're ridiculous." Thomas, without opening his eyes, said, "You are disturbing our peace. Be quiet or go away." Chris rolled his eyes again then gestured for us to follow him. We went into the kitchen. Kathy was making chocolate chip cookies. "Hello girls! Where are Thomas and Jamie?" Lilly smiled. "They are doing fire meditation." Bill walked into the room then. "He has wanted somebody to do that with him for so long." We all nodded. "According to Thomas, he has been waiting all his life," Amelia said. Suddenly, Kathy changed the subject. "So Ella, I hear you have been dating Thomas for a couple weeks now..." Bill cut her off. "Kathy, leave her alone. I'm sure she is perfectly fine for our son. She has magic after all." There was a glint in Kathy's eyes. "Oh, that's not what I'm interested in at all. I am curious what you see in my immature son," she said with a wink. I laughed. "We went to high school together too. I found him extremely annoying for years. To be honest, I still do sometimes." Still, Kathy kept pushing. "If you had to name one thing about him, what would it be?" Without hesitating, I said, "His smile." Bill groaned and Kathy cheered. I looked at them in confusion. "Despite what you may have heard, Thomas hasn't dated that much. His way of showing it is serious is introducing her to us. A couple years ago, we made a bet," Bill started. "I said that the girl he introduced to us would fall for his smile. Bill said it would be his sense of humor," Kathy finished. She held her hand out. Bill took his wallet out of a pocket and handed her 50 bucks. Then he stalked away. Kathy leaned in conspiratorially, "He doesn't care about the money. He's just a sore loser." From the next room, Bill called, "I heard that!" We all chuckled. Soon after, Thomas and Jamie came back. "How was it?" Amelia asked. "Somehow both calming and exhilarating," Jamie said. Thomas chuckled. "It was great. I'm glad I finally have a buddy." We went into one of the living rooms. There were three somewhat small couches. Thomas sat down on one and I joined him. I leaned my head on his chest. He leaned forward and kissed me on the forehead. I glanced across the room to see Chris and Jamie in a similar position. I mouthed two words to Thomas. "Project Jamie x Chris?" He grinned and nodded. "We'll have to change some things." We continued whispering to each other, working everything out. "Our plan is even better than it was before. By this time tomorrow, they will be together," I said.
