Our good mood didn't last long. Soon, we heard the sound of arrival in the cave. We ran over, expecting to see. Raina, Viserion, and Cadmus there. Instead, only Cadmus was there. Ryoko arrived soon after us. Most of the excitement faded from her face. "Cadmus... where my parents?" His face was sad. "My love, they not make it." Ryoko stared blankly. "How? Three dragons against one foolyish Mundane..." Cadmus wrapped his wings around her. "Jake called reinforcements. Hundreds them. I barely got away. Your parents told me flee. They say you could not bear lose me too." Ryoko let out a sob. Her aunt, Seraphina stepped forward. "Dear niece, you now Chiefess of Conjoint Cave. You must marry Cadmus as soon possible ." Ryoko looked at Cadmus. "Apologies, my love, but I wish to have funeral for Mother and Father first. Cadmus nodded. "No need apologize. I will inform the rest of Grand Dragon Council. All shall come mourn their deaths and celebrate their lives." Ryoko nodded. "I call assembly for members of this cave." They nudged their snouts together then parted ways.

Several hours later, we dressed in black and walked into the largest chamber. Jamie came as well. She probably wasn't in the best condition, but she insisted. All of the dragons and dragonets in the cave were there. There must have been millions of dragons there. Ryoko, Cadmus, and all of the other dragons related to Raina or Viserion stood in the front on a dais. Each of them spoke kind words about Raina and Viserion. So did all of the members of the Grand Dragon Council. Jamie translated everything for us. All of them cried. So did Lilly, Amelia, Jamie, and I. At the end, Ryoko spoke again. "She says tomorrow she and Cadmus will get married. She apologizes about how quickly everything is happening, but it is necessary." Then Cadmus looked at the fourteen dragons beside him. "We understand if you need to get back to your caves. If not, you are welcome to remain here for the wedding." Scyllada and Fafnir approached him. "We will, of course, stay for your wedding, son," Scyllada said. Fafnir nodded. Everyone decided to stay. Ryoko approached us after most of the dragons had returned to their rooms. "Jamie be my Maid of Honor? Rest be bridesmaids? Female dragonets be flower girls." We all smiled and hugged her. "We would be honored," I said. Ryoko smiled. "Please wear what you wore for meeting." We all nodded then went to me and Jamie's bedroom. We continued to work on the speech before going to sleep.
