Y/n had no interest in joining their peers for a lunch break. Instead, they decided to roam around the halls alone. They had turned down both Monoma and Iida's offers for lunch together. Y/n needed quiet for just a moment.

They sat on a stairwell on their phone, scrolling through social media for no real reason. They could faintly hear voiced coming from above the stairwell, but paid no mind to them as they doomscrolled.

"...Will make sure of it," One of the men Y/n could hear was approaching. They looked up from their phone as he passed. He had a bright blue suit on, and fire raged on his body. There was no doubt in Y/n's mind he was a hero.

Y/n looked back down at their phone, scrolling through their social media like normal, when, "Were you eavesdropping?" An unfamiliar deep voice asked, hostility laced in their words.

Y/n looked up lazily, it was the fiery hero, "Me?" They asked, "No. I don't know who you are, why would I care about some random's conversation?" They yawned.

The man stiffened, "You.. Don't..-" Y/n blinked, tilting their head as the man's flames grew bigger, "It's you! You're All Might's child and the brat that teamed up with Shoto!"

Y/n bit their lip, "Oh," They said, "You're Endeavor, of course," Y/n nodded, "I'm not All Might's child, however, I'm simply his student, just like Todoroki is."

"Don't you dare get in the way of my son," The hero said in a warning tone, "I'll be watching you."

Y/n shook their head, "Wouldn't dream of it, Mr. Todoroki," They told him, going back of their phone.

Endeavor left soon after, but there was a lingering presence of something else- someone else. Y/n stilled, it was All Might.

"Young L/n- Y/n," All Might stood at the top of the staircase, looking at Y/n in his hero form, "I- Y/n- L/n, L/n, I-" He couldn't seem to get a ingle sentence out.

Y/n stood up and turned their body around to face their hero course teacher, "All Might," They greeted, their face showing no emotion, "I should head out, go get lunch with my friends-"

"I know that's not true, Y/n," All Might interrupted, "You know that, too. You just want to get away from me, right?" His smile never faded. That shadow that constantly cascaded over his face wouldn't allow Y/n to truly look him in the eyes.

Y/n nodded, "I'm surprised, sir," They told him, "That it took you this long to confront me."

"It would have been easier if you hadn't skipped out on class- or run away in the first place, Young L/n," He said. His loud voice echoed through the hall.

"I know that, All Might," They witnessed his jaw clench, "You don't like it when I call you that, right. What is it you had told me to call you again, 'Toshinori... or Yagi... or even-"

"I'm sorry," All Might interrupted. His voice sounded almost desperate, "Y/n- Young L/n, I apologize, I overstepped, I crossed the line, I didn't mean for you-"

"For me to what, Toshinori?" Y/n questioned, "For me to run off? Of course you didn't. For me to have such a... childish reaction?" Y/n's lips tilted upwards ever so slightly, "My father..."

Y/n's eyes met Toshinori's electric blue ones, "I'm not sure what kind of man he was," They told him, "But I know he was nothing like All Might."

"Please, Y/n, I'm sorry-"

"All Might.. Reminds me of someone else. All Might reminds me of.." Y/n paused for a moment. They could feel someone listening in, "He reminds me of my master. Rengoku Kyojuro. But you... Toshinori Yagi... you remind me of no one at all."

Toshinori sighed, "Y/n, I messed up, I'm sorry-"

"My father was sorry, too, Toshinori," Y/n smiled bitterly, "I like to think he was. But... In every memory I've ever had of him, he's never acted on any of his empty, thoughtless apologies."

Y/n walked up the stairs, closer to Toshinori. They stared up at him, three stairs down, "Will you act on your apologies, Toshinori?" They asked him, not waiting for an answer, "Or will you be like my last father, too?  Found dead in the snow, killed by a demon."

Y/n walked up the remaining stairs, their shoulder bumping into Toshinori's, "I'll catch you later, Yagi."
