Y/n walked off the podium, letting Midnight continue to talk, "Without further ado, it's time for us to get started!" She shouted, "This is where you begin feeling the pain.. the first fateful game of the festival!"

A large projection popped up behind Midnight, making Y/n flinch, "What could it be..?" The hero asked as a holographic wheel spun, "Ta-Da!~"

The screen behind her read 'OBSTACLE RACE' in bold letters.

"All eleven classes will participate in this treacherous contest! The track is four kilometers around the outside of the stadium!" She raised her hand, "I don't want to restrain anyone- at least in this game-" She said suggestively, "As long as you don't leave the course, you're free to do whatever your heart desires!" The crowd cheered, "Now then, take your places, contestants!"

Everyone gathered in front of a large arc, presumably leading to the course.

Four kilometers... something like that was elementary, almost anyone could do it. It wouldn't be a big deal for anyone competing. They wondered what obstacles there were to make it so challenging.

Without their sword, perhaps it would be a challenge. Y/n smiled at the thought.

One light of three shut off.

Y/n thought to what Kyojuro had told them all those years ago,

Another light,

"Push yourself to your limits, Y/n! As my dear Tsuguko, you should strive to better yourself and your skills! No matter what!"

The last light shut off, "Begin!"

Everyone raced out. Y/n pushed past the crowd, getting ahead of the pack. Everyone was crowding the doorway, there was no way anyone would be able to get out of it like that.

Y/n jumped up above everyone, and propelled themself off of the wall and out of the doorway. Just as they got through, an icy wind hit their skin. Todoroki had frozen everyone on the floor.

Y/n laughed, catching up to him, "You really are something, aren't you?!" They said as they ran ahead.

They stopped dead in their tracks, sensing something ahead, "That's.." The robots from the entrance exam, "How original.." They said sarcastically.

One robot's hand shot towards Y/n. They jumped up in the air, landing on its arm. Y/n scaled up its body, "No use fighting it," They shrugged.

Y/n jumped off its shoulder, parkouring off of the robots ahead, "Oh, hey Todoroki!" Y/n waved as they ran with him,

"Class 1-A's L/n and Todoroki pulling ahead!" Present Mic shouted, "Look at them go! It's almost unfair!"

Y/n laughed, "I'll show them unfair!" They said, running faster and leaving Todoroki in the dust.

The next obstacle approached: a large, seemingly endless pit. There were small platforms connected by ropes that people could crawl on.

Y/n frowned, so far it seemed like it was only jumping. When would something harder come?

The half demon closed their eyes and took a deep breath, sensing where everything was. With their eyes still closed, they leaped onto one of the rocks, Tsuyu following close behind.

Then another, and another, and another. They could sense every fault in the rocks, where it was safe to step on and where it wasn't.

"That's Class 1-A's Y/n L/n for 'ya! Top scorer on the entrance exam, and leader of the pack in the obstacle race! Just what is a challenge for them?!"
