Y/n stepped out of the examination site. The exam was... unchallenging, and far too easy. They had destroyed each robot without breaking a single sweat, even with their own bare hands!

When Toshinori told them this exam was the hardest in the country, they expected something more life threatening, more real.

Villains weren't robots! It would have been much harder (more fun) if they had released locked up villains and forced them to fight them instead.

Y/n looked around at the other examinees, they seemed tired and worn out. Some were complaining and others stayed silent.

Y/n paused when they saw a crowd forming around something, people with pens shouting at someone. Y/n could already tell who it was.

Their expression was unchanging as they walked past the crowd, as well as their temporary guardian. He seemed preoccupied, and Y/n had no reason to interrupt him, so they simply walked past it.

Y/n yawned, frowning as they walked back to the home they and the number one hero shared.

They were excited when they first came to this new world/time (they're thinking world, it's far more interesting). This place was nothing like their world, and it could have been fun to challenge the unknown.

But the unknown was so... easy.

This new world was even more boring than their old one. In their original home, there were threats to your life around the corner, and yet Y/n found it borish. They climbed up the slayer ranks faster than any other, becoming a hashira at the age of sixteen with the help of their mentor, Kyojuro. And the advantages that Tamayo had blessed them with.

Being half demon was a considerable downgrade to a full one, but it meant they could touch the sun, and with the help of breathing forms they were stronger than most demons.

All besides seven. Muzan and his most powerful servants, the upper moons. They posed a threat to all of humanity, and more importantly, to Y/n.

When they had finally met one, they were enthralled in the feeling of power. The overpowering feeling invaded their senses, and they loved it.

They had told the demon to fight them, and hold nothing back. The demon only laughed, saying he'd kill Y/n if he did.

Y/n understood that fact perfectly well. They didn't crave death, but they didn't want to die without a bang. Dying by an uppermoon was perfect. When they explained that, the demon said he didn't want Y/n to die.

He had no intentions to fight Y/n.

It was the same with all of the other uppermoons. None wanted to fight.

And it stayed like that, they'd stumble upon upper moons, but could never fight one. A year must've gone by without one fight, and the upper moons showed up more and more.

Y/n wondered if the demons knew they were gone. The hashira most definitely did, but the demons were different.

Y/n sighed, "What am I even doing? Thinking about them?" They thought aloud, staring at their feet as they walked into their temporary home. They laid on the fluffy couch, and pulled out their phone to call Toshinori.

Six demons knelt before a platform, on it was a black haired demon wearing a fedora and suit. His voice echoed in the minds of the six, "As I'm sure you have all picked up on," He spoke, "The half demon Y/n L/n has been taken."

The air around them stilled. Each demon knew it, but didn't want to admit it. They were all fond of the half demon. After all, so was their own master. A demon working with humans wasn't unheard of, as Tamayo existed, however a synthesised demon that could walk in the sun was.

The half demon was able to do something even the progenitor of all demons couldn't. Muzan needed that half demon, and he would do anything to get them.

At first he deployed weak demons to catch them and bring them to him, but Y/n killed them all. Instead, he decided to entice the slayer with power and a challenge, before reeling them in to catch.

It was all going perfectly, until a demon stole them from him. He needed to find them again, "A rogue demon kidnapped them using its blood demon art. Find this demon and bring it to me."

"Yes, master." They said in unison.

Of course they would find that filthy demon and get the demon back. It was you, after all.
