Louisa's eyes flew open to the sound of birds singing on her window, which made her let out a little laugh. She felt perfect, and she had absolutely no idea why.
Pulling the cover off her, she walked into the bathroom to take a warm bath. She lingered back to when she prayed to the moon goddess for a mate, which made her mood change immediately.
Tears filled her eyes and she let it flow. She didn't understand why she wanted a mate so badly, perhaps it's because she had seen plenty of people around the love that traveled in the air was just too much to resist.
Though it has been three years, she still wondered why Cheryl actually rejected her mate. She refused to tell her, no matter how much she disturbed her, so perhaps it was a great thing to let time pass.
She walked out of the bathroom and opened the closet door before a little out a sigh. This daily problem of choosing what clothes to wear was really becoming too much for her.
The memories of what happened yesterday flooded her mind and she jumped in joy, knowing that she had become an aunt.
Picking out a red dress, she put it on the bed and sat down in front of the mirror to curl the ends of her hair. As soon as she was done, she put it in a bun and wore the dress.
She knew that Jordan and his mate were already at home, along with the baby. Compared to a human who had to stay in the hospital, werewolves can come home immediately after they are put to bed.
She heard the cry of the baby from across the hall, and she walked slowly, not wanting anyone to know about her presence. She picked into the room and was completely stunned as to how many people were actually in the room.
“Quit being sneaky and get in here.” she jumped to the sound of her brother's voice in her head, and she immediately glared at him in the room.
“I can't get past everyone you dummy, and seriously you didn't have to scare the hell out of me!” She snapped back, but he let out a laugh in the room that made everyone look at him like he was crazy.
Sophie looked at her from the bed and let out a smile, but she completely understood why she didn't want to come in.
The crowd of family members was actually insane. With a smile, Louisa left, and she followed the scent of her father for she hadn't seen him anywhere since she woke up.
“Hey dad!” He immediately turned to look at her, and he let out a smile.
“Hey sweetie, I do hope you had a great sleep because I have a job for you.”
“Come on dad! You know I have work to do at the hospital!” She groaned, and the man let out a laugh listening to his daughter grumble like her mother used to.
“That has already been taken care of, sweetie, I just need you to go out of the pack to check something.”
“Outside the pack? Dad, you never send me there because you are way too scared to do that, and I have a crazy brother that will go into a ninja mood when he finds out that I'm even ten meters away from the borders!” She said dramatically, and he just couldn't help but laugh.
“Your brother is just being protective, and I am scared of losing my daughter.”
“I know that dad, that's why I love you both so much. So tell me why are you sending me outside the pack?”
“Well you have always wanted to go outside and come to think of it, it really isn't a bad thing after all, but you will go with a warrior even if you are a warrior yourself.”
“I understand dad, thank you so much.”
“Do not wander off far.” he yelled as she ran out of the room.
“Of course father!” She yelled back, which made him shake his head.
Louisa felt happy that her father had made one of her many dreams come through. She wondered what was behind the great walls, perhaps it was as beautiful as the inside, she had no idea.
She immediately hugged her best friend the moment she saw her instructing some kids, but Cheryl was taken surprised and they both fell to the floor.
The children let out a little laugh, knowing that it was a normal thing for Louisa to do, but Cheryl was really not having it.
“Get off me!” She snapped and in the blink of an eye Louisa was off her with hands raised in the air.
“I am so sorry ma'am, I didn't mean to interrupt your class like that, right kids? Please tell ma'am I'm deeply sorry.” Louisa said with a funny expression on her face, and it only made Cheryl burst into laughter.
“You are such a crazy girl! What's making you so happy this morning?”
“Well I took over my brother on that, but dad gave… Finish with them first, please.” she said after realizing that she had actually interrupted a class.
“Give me a few minutes.” Louisa excused herself and watched as Cheryl ended her class before coming to her with a cheerful grin on her face.
“So! Dad allowed me to go outside the pack for a tour and I have to pick a warrior to go with me, but unfortunately, I can't go with you.” Cheryl's smile immediately fades away, and Louisa lets out a laugh.
“Jeez! The look on your face is hilarious!” She laughed wholeheartedly, and Cheryl glared at her.
“So you made me end my class an hour earlier to tell me your dad gave you permission to go out without me? And you're happy about it? Louisa, I'm going to kill you for this.” She immediately ran away with her best friend running behind her.
“Ok I'm sorry… That was a total lie. Of course, I can go with you and dad certainly knew you were the one I was going to pick, especially when he didn't give me a particular person to go with.”
“Then why did you make us run?” Cheryl asked, trying to catch her breath.
“Come on, Cheryl, learn to live a little. Being a straight person will not do you any good, so let's go." Louisa linked her hands with her best friends before walking outside the gates.
Louisa was delighted, but soon enough that happiness fades away when she sees a man laying as though he were dead on the floor.
