Only Time Could Tell (Even If We Are Different)

The rogues growled back, and he immediately launched towards them. Biting and scratching one another he snapped the head off one of them before pinning them to the ground and let out a deadly growl before swiping his claws and killing him.

“Miles!!” He heard her scream, and he turned around, but he didn't see her anyway. “... Help!” He heard her again, and he realized that she was off the cliff and holding on, almost falling off.

He immediately ran, but he was stopped when not one, or two but three more rogues jumped on him while another was going towards Louisa.

He could hear her cry, and he immediately lost it m he let his wolf take control over and shift back to human form before grabbing the pur if one of the wolves before twisting and swing it making him hit another.

He let out his claws and pulled his heart out before throwing it away and breaking the neck of another. He ran towards her and kicked the wolf away but the moment he grabbed her someone pushed him, and he stumbled over with her.

Miles hugged her tight while shifting into his wolf form, and he hit the blood so hard that he actually passed out and shifted back to his human form.

Louisa was terrified, and she tried to wake him up, but he didn't budge, she tried to get his pulse, but she didn't feel anything, and he wasn't breathing.

“Miles get up!” Tears filled her eyes as she continued to shake him. “... Miles, please get up!” She put her fingers together and pressed it against his heart area trying to wake him up but nothing was working.

She had no idea where they were, and she couldn't find her phone. She tried pressing her hand against his chest but after several tries he didn't wake up and that's when she felt the mate bond fading away.

“No! No! No! Miles you can't leave me like! Miles! Please I...” A wave of pain hit her like tons of bricks and she froze.

He was gone, he had left her. She didn't want to believe it so she tried again this time harder, but it was like she was pressing upon a body, nothing was flowing he was really gone.

She let out a scream of agony as she fell to the ground in tears and Cheryl heard the scream. She had seen her phone at the edge of the cliff and bodies of the wolves, but she didn't know where her best friend was.

“Alpha, you need to get to the cliff right now!” She mind linked Alpha Jackson immediately, feeling completely worried.

“What happened? Are we under attack?”

“I don't know, but Louisa is off the cliff, she is screaming and yelling out in agony, I don't know what's going on?!” She panicked.

“I'm coming.” Cheryl walked back and forth, completely worried about what was going on.

Fear struck her heart when she heard a howl from down there, and she knew that howl too well. She had heard it when someone lost their mate, which only meant Miles was down there along with her.

She knew she hated Miles but not dead, never dead because she knew he meant the world to Louisa. Soon enough, Alpha Jackson arrived with Jordan along with some guards.

“Where is she?” He asked panicking.

“She's down there, is Miles in the house?”

“That doesn't matter…"

“It does matter, she was the one who let out that howl. The howl of losing her mate.”

“He isn't home.” Jordan concluded, and he looked at him before searching for a spot on the floor.

They all watched as their Alpha dug up the ground with his hand and he suddenly pulled a door open. It was a doorway none of them has ever seen, but he wasn't in the mood to explain anything, he needs to get to his daughter as fast as he could.

They walked down the stairs and when they got to a door, Alpha Jackson broke the locks with an iron rod before opening the door, and they continued down another stairs.

Louisa could hear footsteps, but the agony within her heart made her able to move. Her ear was against Miles' chest hoping and praying to hear a beat from it, but the moon goddess seems to have denied her of her wish.

“Louisa!” She heard her father's voice but didn't move either, she felt paralyzed and weak and all she wanted was for Miles to wake up and say it was all a joke.

Year it was an expensive joke, but a joke is better than the real deal. She heard her bane against and clung on to Mile's body while crying her eyes out.

“Miles, can you please wake up? It doesn't matter if you're mean or scary, please just wake up I'll die without you Miles please” she turned to look at her father looking down at her.

“Louisa!” He called out softly with his hand out for her to hold, but she backed away and stood up from the floor while wiping her tears.

“You're the Alpha, right? You have the power to command someone, please can you tell him to wake up? He is a part of the pack, dad, please command him to wake up.”

“Louisa…" Cheryl tried, but she cut her off.

“No! Dad is going to ask him to wake up, and he is going to do it, right dad?” Alpha Jackson couldn't author a word for the confusion, the pain, and everything he had felt was now happening to his girl.

He was scared, always scared of this moment and never wanted it to happen, and now he felt as though the moon goddess had betrayed him by doing this to his daughter.

“Louisa…"

“You'll do it, right Dad? You're going to do it, and he is going to wake up, right?”

“I can't do that Louisa.” her fake smile immediately fades away as she looks at her father.

“You promised to give me everything that I ever wanted, and you are denying me of this? You have the power dad, why aren't you helping me?” He walked closer to her, but she backed away.

“No! Do not come any closer! You do not want to help me at my time of need then you may go, I would rather not see you all just go.” she put her shaking hands against her lips as she cried more.

“Louisa please…"

“Just go!” She screamed"… Just go ok? I don't want anyone, just go!"
