Miles unconsciously put his hand out for her, and he clearly didn't know what he was doing, but his wolf was clearly taking over control slowly.
The moment she got closer she hugged him and a spark travelled all around his body which caused nothing but pleasure to him.
He knew about the spark because he had heard it from his friends, but he didn't care about it, so he never really gave his attention to it.
Louisa felt his body tense up, and she realized that he just hugged him without any proper introduction or anything, it certainly wasn't a normal thing to do.
She slowly backed away not wanting to act disrespectful, but she could feel his gaze in her and just then she realized the blood on this wrist where the drip tube is meant to be.
“You removed it?” Miles furrowed his eyebrows confused, but when she realized what she was talking about, he rolled his eyes.
“That's nothing, you really don't need to worry about a thing.” she looked at him as though he were crazy, but thinking about it was really not a big deal, especially when they were werewolves.
“You're right, you should have some rest, and I'll bring you some food.”
“I've had enough rest. I just want to be alone, please.” she looked at him with a smile before she left the room.
Miles knew he was going to go crazy in this pack within a few days of staying. He hadn't been around people in three years, and all of a sudden, he appears here and realizes he has a mate he can't reject.
He was convinced that she was as nice as her father, but her brother was a different case, which he definitely didn't even wanna talk about to anyone.
He laid on the bed wishing for the moon goddess to do some kind of miracle for him to get out of the pack, but he knew damn well that she was not going to answer that.
His mind lingered back to when his mother was still alive and how they will always be together. It really didn't matter what situation it was, Miles was always with his mother.
At some point, he drifted away because he grows up and making friends, he needed to spend some time with them, and he always hoped his mother was happy without him even if it was for a few minutes.
One night his mother had sneaked into his room, which of course scared him, but he didn't scream the moment he realized it was his mother.
She cried bitterly in his arms and he was young and clearly couldn't figure out why his mother was crying so much, but after a few years he realized that his mother had rejected her mate before she loved his father so much.
The pain of her losing her real mate made her feel so much pain, and Miles didn't bother to dwell on the issue until the day he saw his father with another woman in the garden making out.
He went mad and acted out, turns out his mother wasn't really informed that her husband had already found his true mate, and he was not willing to reject her for anyone.
Miles's mother felt her emotions going wild when she saw why Miles was actually fighting. He had seen his mother cry for love, and he promised himself never to love a woman, as his mother had suffered.
He despises himself because he could hate his father, the good memories they had together been too happy for him to actually hate him for not only breaking his mother's heart but killing her with the pain as well.
He wished to hate him, but that feeling seemed to be completely out of his grip. A single tear dropped from the side of his eyes and he immediately wiped it away.
Escaping was certainly not an option because they would think he just came to the pack for information and might probably kill him along that way.
A sudden wave of headache hit him hard, and he groaned out in pain. This definitely wasn't a good sign something was happening to him and pain was slowly spreading through his body.
He let out a bloody scream and the door immediately flew open. Louisa immediately walked closer to see what was wrong with him and why everything hurt, she could feel a bit of his pain everywhere, and she knew it certainly wasn't good for him.
She took some of his blood and immediately gave it to the nurse to check on it before giving him a shot that would immediately send him to sleep.
His body felt fragile, and he looked at her before everything went blank. Louisa was terrified as to what was happening.
A few minutes ago he was ok and happy, and now he was suddenly hurting everywhere. Did something perhaps go wrong in the operation that he didn't know about? She questioned and immediately walked out of the room.
“Eric!” She yelled out and everyone snapped their heads to her.
She looked at their faces and realized that he wasn't there. She immediately walked down the hallway before taking a turn, and she opened the door to his office, not really bothering to knock.
“Eric, what happened in the operation?” A terrifying look appeared on his face, and she was certain that something happened.
“Well…"
“Eric, speak up, or I will kill you this instant.” the power of her arouse was going around, and he knew he couldn't seal his mouth.
“After the operation everything was quite fine but when I went back into the room to take some things I left there mistakenly I realized his heart stopped beating for a few seconds, and he was suddenly awake. We have witnessed something like that before, so I thought it was nothing to worry about, but it kept happening, and I did everything I could. He is really dying, Louisa, and I thought I could stop it, and I did.”
“Did you check his heart?”
“Yes, he was breathing fine.”
“Not that! I mean a scan. The problem is certainly from his heart, did you check that.”
“No.”
“Goodness Eric!”
“What happened?”
“I have no idea, but… Did you find anything in his system?”
“A trace of wolfs bane.” A knock suddenly interrupted both of them and the nurse Louisa had given blood to stand in front of the door looking terrified.
“Ma'am.”
“What happened?” She collected the reports of the test and what seems to be like a scan test, and her heart immediately sank."… This can't be happening.”
