Cheryl watched them carefully with jealousy clearly in her eyes, but she didn't act on it. She always had Louisa to herself anytime she wasn't with her father or brother, but now Miles had suddenly come out of nowhere and stole her away.
She needed to find a way to get rid of him in some kind of way. Then something popped into her mind, no man had actually never backed away from her seduction and that's what she needed to do to spoil their relationship.
Moreover, they were just getting to know more about each other so now that their relationship wasn't so strong it gave her an opportunity to break it before it gets stronger.
She watched as he went to the resting bench while Louisa continued with the training so she went to him and sat with him.
“You did really well today.” she complimented, and he looked at her weirdly as he dropped the water back on the table.
“Umm… Thanks"
“Do you want to hang out someday, I mean let's get to know each other as friends of course.”
“What are you up to?”
“Nothing, what do you mean by that? Was it a bad thing that I wanted to get to know my best friend's mate for a change?”
“Not at all it's not a bad thing but for a woman who would gladly feed me to the dogs I think it's kind of a bad idea.”
“I'm not going to hurt you Miles, I just want to get to know you and apologize for things that I have down to you out of jealousy.”
“Jealousy?” He raised an eyebrow as he looked at her.
“Yeah, I've always been with Louisa all my life what makes you think you could just come out of nowhere and take most of the time I spent with her and I wouldn't get jealous over it?”
“I certainly didn't mean to do that but perhaps a walk around the pack might do for us to catch, and you can tell me some things I don't know about how things are, deal?”
“Deal.”
“Well I have to continue what I was doing, nice talking to you without you wanting to kill me.” she let out a laugh.
“Well I am glad I didn't do that” He stood up and walked towards Louisa before kissing her cheek.
She smiled and stood up before leaving. She knew that he was going to tell Louisa about their little conversation, and she wouldn't mind letting them hang out. As a matter of fact, she would be extremely happy about that.
Cheryl knew how her best friend could be so careless with her, and she certainly didn't mean to break it, but she needed to get Miles out of the pack in order for her to get Louisa all to herself.
She walked towards her house and realized that her siblings were walking about with a smile on their faces, and it was amazing how they were all happy.
She walked into the house to see her sick mother lying down on the bed like she has been for the past three days.
“How are you mum?” She asked as she took a seat next to her and her mother wanted to talk, but she began to cough and demanded for a glass of water.
Cheryl's heart broke into pieces seeing her mother in this condition for that is how she has been even since her father died. She will be fine for a few days and then sick for months. She feared that she might end up dying soon and that's something she didn't want one bit.
She gave her a glass of water and let the poor woman sleep peacefully as she closed her eyes. She walked towards the kitchen and immediately began to cook something for them when her phone suddenly began to ring and Louisa's name popped.
“Hey girlfriend!” She cheered.
“Hey girl! While I left Miles in the pack for you and…thank you for spending some time with him, I'll be home.”
“I'll do anything for you. You said you wanted us to get along so badly so I had to do something that will make us at least spend a few hours or minutes together so we could sort out differences, you can certainly join us if you want to.”
“Oh no, I have a lot of things to do at home, and he needs to see the pack, he hasn't really been out much. I have to go now, I'll see you guys later love you.”
“Love you too girlfriend.” She hung up, and a smirk appeared on Cheryl's face.
As soon as was done with the food she told her siblings what to do and told the eldest to give their mother food and her medicines when she wakes up.
She walked towards the pack where Miles was walking in circles out of boredom, and she laughed upon seeing what he was doing even if it wasn't hilarious.
“What are you doing?” She asked and that got his attention.
“Just something I usually do when I get bored back at home, what took you so long?”
“Cooking for my siblings, my mother isn't really doing well.”
“Oh, I'm sorry about that. So, tell me why the sudden change of mind? I mean as at this morning the glare you were giving me was enough to tell everyone that you want me dead, and now you want us to become friends, why?”
“I realized how selfish I was being. Louisa loves you and even if you aren't really into the mate thing you…"
“How do you know about that?”
“I have the ears of an elephant, I hear everything.”
“Haha, very funny.”
“So like I said you try to impress and get to know her to see if you could get the heck of things and I must really admit you are getting good at it.”
“,Why thank you. She's a sweet girl that certainly does not deserve hate from anyone, how could someone even hate her?”
“Exactly what I try to tell Jordan everyday even since we were young. She is flawless and of course she did receive a lot of proposals from almost everyone even from another back, but she surprisingly rejected them all with the hope that you will come around.”
“Surprisingly?”
“I would die for the men who asked her for her hand.” He let out a laugh.
“You're crazy but didn't you have a mate?”
“I did, I guess the rumors of me rejecting him are still on, and you have certainly heard.”
“You rejected him?”
“Ah! You didn't hear that part then.”
