Miles' eyes flew open, and he saw himself being tied to a chair with chains. He tried so hard to get out of it, but it seems so impossible.

“Hello!” He called out, but only the echo of his voice could be heard. He couldn't see anything but the little window which was extremely high up in the room.

It had a little light which he couldn't see anything with. His vision was blurry, and he wondered what was happening, he had never experienced something like this before.

All he could remember was saving Louisa but other that he couldn't remember a thing. Something wasn't right he felt it and the door suddenly flew open and a pair of red eyes met him.

He knew his eyes, but he was unable to point out who owned them or where he knew it from. He tried again to get himself out but the silver on the chains were doing nothing but hurting him so bad.

“Stop trying to struggle with the chain of life Miles it's not gonna break, it's only going to hurt, bit by bit till…" He trailed off and let out a laugh like a maniac.

Fear didn't linger within Miles for a bit; he just looked at him trying to figure out where he knew the man from. He couldn't see his face yet, just the eyes and nothing else.

“Who are you?” He asked softly.

“You don't want to know my child. Make a wish and it will be granted immediately.”

“What do you think I am? A child?” He let out yet another laugh and Miles felt a part of the chain break, but he didn't move.

“Well that's surprising, how about I ask again. Make a wish child, and it will be granted immediately.” he said in a serious tone.

“I don't want to do that. Now how about you tell me who you are and why am I even here?”

“It's the path of life, child, and you only get one wish to make. You have to be cautious of your wishes…"

“I said I don't want to make any wishes!” He yelled, and the chains scattered over everywhere making him able to stand up but where could he go when he didn't know where he was?

“Interesting! The first person to break the chains of life, that's very surprising, well, you have five more minutes to make a wish I'll be back.” within the blink of an eye he was gone and Miles became confused.

He couldn't see anything and couldn't reach the window, the chair had disappeared along with the weird man.

He suddenly began to hear voices saying different things, but he was unable to tell what they were saying. He closed this ear with his hands trying not to stop the noise from wherever it was coming, but it wasn't stopping.

He let out a bloody scream and everything suddenly stopped, and a red eye appeared on the wall looking at him which made him step away from the wall immediately.

“Make a wish child you are running out of time.” a deep voice was heard from nowhere and a laugh followed.

At this point, it was all beginning to creep him out for he didn't know what was going on. Perhaps he was asleep he thought but if that was the case he would have woken up the moment he saw the eyes on the wall.

It was so unusual, he had never had a dream like this before. It was certain that it was not a dream but rather a reality he clearly didn't know about.

“What happens when I make a wish?” He asked curiously and he heard the laugh again.

“It will be granted child just make a wish.”

“Enough!” A ray of light came out of nowhere with a female voice, and he furrowed his eyebrows confused.

He tried to look at the light, but it burned him immediately which made him turn his eyes. The laugh slowly died down, but the light didn't stop increasing.

He shut his eyes as he fell to the ground because he felt something suddenly push him to the floor, he turned around to reduce the reflection.

“Child?” the melodious voice asked, but he couldn't turn around to see who it was due to the light.

“I can't see,” he mumbled.

“That's alright child, the light is disturbing to normal people's eyes.”

“Get me out of here, Please.” he begged for he felt like he was slowly getting out of breath

“Breathe child.”

“I can't.” he snapped, and he felt as though he was falling to the ground and was unable to hold on to anything.

The light was slowly going dim, and he thought he said something wrong, but suddenly, his eyes flew open, and he found himself in a box which made him confused.

It was a see through glass and someone had her head in it's like he was dead or something, then he realized that his lack of breath was actually getting worse.

He knocked on the glass so hard but whoever this person was she was certainly not hearing a word. He really didn't have a choice, he put his hand in a fist and punched the glass so hard that his knuckles began to bleed and the glass broke.

Louisa let out a scream as she saw his hand out of the coffin box and immediately moved away, Miles pushed the cover and began to cough while trying to breathe.

He looked up and saw that everyone was staring at him weirdly and Louisa had a terrifying look on her face. Alpha Jackson held his daughter in his arms as he saw the scene unfold.

He had lived thousands of years but of course he had stopped aging, and he has certainly not seen anything like this in his lifetime. This couldn't be right.

“Was I dead?” Miles asked as he took a good look around him to see what in the world was going on but no one said a word.

Louisa cried as hard as she could. Perhaps she was a dream again but this time it was really horrible and looked way more of a reality. This could not be happening.

She had watched him die, she was there when they both fell to the ground, she had tried many things to wake him up, but he didn't budge, she had felt the mate bond between them break it couldn't be happening it just couldn't.

She was slowly losing her mind and out of the blue her body became weak and everything around began to revolve.

“Louisa.” everything went blank.
