Miles was intrigued as to how free she was being, and he was impressed at the fact that she hadn't really killed him on this tour, but he certainly doesn't still trust her. Everything seemed too good to be true.“Well let's say he was too goofy, and I certainly didn't like him, I met him three years ago, and I'm certain that he had moved on now.”
“He is a pack member?”
“Yeah, he is a warrior and I guessed that he had a second chance if ante after the rejection, or they fell in love.”
“Aren't you bothered by it?” He asked curiously and all she did was let out a small laugh.
“Not at all, I love being alone and yes, I know I can't be alone forever, and I'll probably find someone I like later but right now, no, thanks.”
“I think the moon goddess is completely the opposite of us.”
“What do you mean by that?” They stopped at a lake watching the butterflies fly around.
“You see Louisa is extremely, nice, sweet and a loves people and me, on the other hand, hates people, and I am certainly not nice in any way "
“That is certainly true"
“And then we have you, you are uptight and aren't free around anyone except Louisa and your family I guess and according to you his goofy and I guess he hangs out with people a lot.”“Yeah we are most definitely different from one another. He is just a turn-off from me, so I had it and well here I am to myself"
“The pack is beautiful and as much as I would have loved to spend more time with you are get to know more I really need to go back, it's almost six and my ceremony is my eight.”“Goodness! I totally forgot about that! I'll meet you at the ceremony, I really do hope that you remember how to get back home though.”
“Yeah I certainly do, I'll meet you later on then.”
“Certainly.” he turned around in his heels and walked towards the path he remembered so well.
Cheryl smiled as she watched him go away, she knew that he didn't really trust her and of course that was acceptable because she has tried killing him so many times, but it didn't work and this time she was just going to destroy him into pieces.
She walked towards the house and when she got there, she realized that they were all sleepy which she completely expected, and they will meet her at the ceremony later except for her mother, of course.
She put all their clothes out and took hers in a bag before heading towards the alpha's chambers. She knew that Louisa would need to dress up. Moreover, it was her mate's ceremony. She needs to look good.
Her phone suddenly began to ring, and she let out a smile when she saw Louisa's name on the caller's ID. She dropped the phone back in her bag and walked into the house to see Louisa walking back and forth.
“Girlfriend?” She questioned and Louisa turned to look at her.
“Goodness! Where have you been? It's two hours to the ceremony and I still look like this, how could it still be like this?!” She said while panicking and Cheryl looked over to Miles who was sitting down on the couch with a look that said 'I tried' on his face.
“Come on Louisa, the celebrity of the day hasn't even taken a bath, and you are getting disturbed.”
“You know it takes hours to do something like this and…"
“Louisa you need to calm down, if you keep ranting nothing will ever go right. Take a deep breath.” Miles put his arms on her shoulders to calm her nerves down.
“But…"
“Deep breaths.” He cut her off and she did just as she was told to. “... That's more like now how about you let Cheryl get you to your room and you both will get ready within these two hours, understand?”
“Thank you” She kissed his cheek before grabbing Cheryl's hand and pulling her upstairs.
Miles sat down on the couch with his eyes on the TV screen while eating some popcorn as though he didn't have something to get ready for, he suddenly heard noises, and he looked at the floor to see Blakely giggling at him.
“You little monsters.” He put the bowl away and tickled her which made her laugh out loud with her tiny voice.
He picked her from the floor and she began to play with his face while he let out funny faces. Sophie sighed when she saw them playing, she had been searching for her fit almost an hour and turns out she was just downstairs.
“There you are, I have been searching for you for so long” They both heard her, and she held on to Miles so hard that he began to laugh.
“Come on sister she just came here let the girl be.”
“I have been looking for her fit almost an hour,”
“Then she learns from her uncle, adventure is a much better way to spend your time than staying with mummy, right Blakely.”
“Y… Yes” she stuttered and they both let out a laugh.
“You heard her so be gone.” he made a hand gesture for her to go away which made her laugh more.
“You need to get ready Miles, I wonder what you are even doing here.” she took Blakely from him forcefully.
“I'm left with an hour and half. That's too much time to get ready, you shouldn't be worried about me, but I think about her. Bring her back when she's done dressing and I want her to look stunning, even more than Louisa.” He whispered the last part while looking around.
“She will kill you if she hears that from your mouth.”
“Oh come on, it's my baby we are talking about she should look like a princess right Blakely?”
“Yes!” She cheered.
“You see she agrees as well so bye and make me proud sister, or I will cut your hair off your head if you mess up.”
“Jeez! Ok, sir.” They both walked up, and he relaxed in the chair.
He stood up and walked to the room. He wanted to take a nap before the ceremony could start.
He could literally get ready in less than thirty minutes; it wasn't really a big deal to him. He opened the door and noticed his outfit laying in the bed, and he let out a frown.
He knew it was an event, and he needed to dress formally, but a tuxedo was really necessary. He picked it up and hung it on the closet door before laying on the bed.
