Sophie handed Blakely over to Jordan and walked towards the coffin that Miles was sitting down, confused. She might not understand what was going on, but he was alive and the way he was breathing tells that clearly.
“Miles, come.” she put her hand out, not really knowing what to expect.
He put her hand against hers, and she pulled him up. He felt dizzy, but she helped him stand still, Louisa was already being taken to the hospital by her father.
“What's going on?” Miles asked as he held his head and almost fell to the ground along with Sophie, but Jordan pushed a chair and made him shut down instead.
“Let's say you died for a few days and today was your burial ceremony.” He looked at her in a weird way, and Jordan gave her a glass of water for him. “... Come on, drink up.” She fed him gently.
“Don't you think it's better you take him to the hospital?” Jordan suggested, and she looked at him.
“I asked Peter to bring a car so we can't take him to the hospital like this, he will fall off someone.”
“Hold Blakely, let me drive. Don't worry, I'll put him in the car.” he told her as the car arrived while handing the baby over to her.
He took Miles by one hand while Peter held him by the other. After putting him in the car, Sophie walked into the passengers sit before Jordan took the keys and drove as fast as he could to the hospital.
Cheryl watched carefully as everything was going on, and she was too stunned to say a single word, just stare.
She shifts into her wolf form before running through the woods and towards the hospital. She couldn't care less about Miles, he meant nothing to her, but her best friend has been over the edge since he seemed to have died and the fact that he suddenly woke up from the dead was a tragic situation at the same time a happy one.
As soon as she got to the hospital, she noticed Alpha pacing back and forth along with his son and Sophie who was sitting down completely worried about them both.
She sat down next to Sophie quietly and rested her hand against her shoulder. She was devastated undoubtedly but what could she do in this situation where everything was so confusing?
“Is she going to be alright?” Cheryl asked in a broken voice.
“Only the moon goddess can tell that Cheryl, but I am certain that whatever she does is for the best, don't worry about a thing.” Sophie said while trying so hard not to break down.
She had seen her husband cry for the first time in so many years apart from Blakely's birth which he shed tears of joy. This situation was far from what she could handle in years, but she was glad that she wasn't the only one standing strong.
Her father-in-law was quiet all along. It's as if he had gone mute for the past few days and even if he were to say anything it was his daughter's name or consolation words for Louisa.
Last night she heard him cry all alone in his room as she went out to get a bottle of water for Jordan, she wanted to walk in so bad, but she knew damn well that it was her place to do that.
He had suffered the pain and seeing his daughter suffer the same thing broke his heart and this situation was just something no one could really explain for it had never been seen or heard before.
Eric walked out of the room with a report in his hand and a frown on his face, which made Alpha Jackson a bit disappointed because he didn't know what to expect.
“Louisa is in a state of shock, she might wake up soon enough or…" He trailed off.
“Or what, Eric?”
"She might slip into a coma which might last for days or months. Miles, on the other hand, are placed on oxygen, he has a few bruises but will be fine. They are both in ward 3.“He handed the report over to Alpha Jackson and Jordan held on to his Dad as he lost balance seeing the report.
“Careful dad.” Cheryl immediately stood up to help him, and he took a sit on the waiting bench along with Sophie.
Jordan swore that he hasn't seen his father looking like this ever in his life, he hasn't even seen his father so upset before except when his mother died which was years ago.
Jordan thoroughly understood why his father was acting this way, he might be an Alpha of the pack and most of them don't show emotions but in a situation like this no one is even allowed to hide emotions.
He watched his wife die and his daughter slipping into a coma might actually cause her death as well, he felt a single tear in his arms and just then he realized his father was shading tears.
“She's going to be alright Dad.” he tried assuring him, but it seemed so impossible to do.
Alpha Jackson immediately wiped his tears and used a handkerchief he had been holding to clean his face a bit. He stood up and they all looked at him weird.
“Are you ok?” Jordan asked with concern, and he looked at his son with a soft smile.
“Of course I am, come on, let's see your sister and Miles.” they all walked behind him as he located ward 3 according to the paper in his hand.
As soon as they got to the room, he opened the door and saw as they were both laying peacefully with their eyes closed.
A part of him felt extremely happy about the fact that Miles was still alive, but it was an unexplainable situation. He was certain that Miles himself didn't understand because as he woke up, he looked like it was like a dream to him.
A cup suddenly fell to the ground, and they all looked up from where they were sitting to see Miles looking at them. Alpha Jackson walked towards him and helped him to sit up carefully.
Miles removed the oxygen mask and looked at him before looking at his side and he saw Luisa laying down as though she were dead, which made him confused.
“What happened to her?” He asked and immediately began to cough, which made Alpha Jackson give him a glass of water.
“You died, kid and woke up after two days.”
"How is that possible?"
