Mike Borkowski was a Colgate hockey icon and still is to this day in my opinion as he was such a great leader on and off the ice. Borkowski was on the same level as folks like Mike Harder and other Colgate legends who made Don Vaughan such an icon in his own right. Borkowski might look like he wasn't quite at the level but you'll just have to decide for yourself by reading this story and doing your own research on the man from Kanata, Ontario. Borkowski honestly played with some pretty big names like the Spink boys who you'll get to know quite well throughout this story as we discuss one of my favorite players from my childhood and beyond!
Alas, this book is about Mike Borkowski and his talent on and off the ice as he plays his college hockey here in Central New York. Borkowski was an outstanding get for Coach Vaughan because of his 200 plus points in juniors over 249 games and as we mentioned earlier, his two former Cornwall Colts teammates will be joining him at Colgate University in the fall of 2012. So, will the former Cornwall Colts players make a difference on this Colgate team immediately?
I hope you enjoy this story as much as I expect to because I grew up watching and listening to Mike Borkowski play the game of hockey at Colgate. This story took a lot of research on the greatest website on the internet, college hockey news to put this book together so please give it a read. Mike Borkowski was one of the best players in college hockey at the time of his graduation and I hope he's making a name for himself post-Colgate which we'll also talk about after the Colgate career is all said and done! Go 'gate and see you in the story!
