After a multipoint performance last Saturday, Mike Borkowski and his teammates return to Starr Rink to play the defending national champion Providence College Friars hoping to pull a massive upset over the defending champs. With 18:40 left in the first period, Brian Pinho scored to make it 1-0 Providence. With 9:26 left in the first period, Ryan Tait scored to make it 2-0 Friars. With 5:53 left in the first period, Jake Walman scored to make it 3-0 Providence. Charlie Finn and Nick Ellis matched zeros for the remainder of the period so the Friars lead 3-0 heading to the second period. With 19:06 left in the second period, Tim Harrison scored his second goal of the season to make it 3-1 Providence. With 13:12 left in the second period, Jake Walman scored to make it 4-1 Friars. Finn and Ellis matched zeros for the remainder of period number two so 4-1 Providence it remains heading to the third period. With 18:09 left in period number three, Erik Foley scored to make it 5-1 Friars. Colgate Coach Don Vaughan pulled Charlie Finn out of the net and so, Zac Hamilton filled in for the remainder of the game. With 13:06 left in the third period, Ryan Tait scored to make it 6-1 Providence. With 6:38 left in the third period, Jake Kulevich scored his second goal of the season to make it 6-2 Friars. With 1:29 left in the game, Jake Walman scored to make it 7-2 Providence. Hayden Hawkey finished off the Raiders and Providence pounds Colgate 7-2. Colgate dropped to 3-3-0 on the season.
