After a long losing streak was ended last Saturday, the Colgate Raiders head to Ithaca, New York to play their hated rivals, the Cornell Big Red at Lynah Rink hoping to get a leg up on their CNY foe. With 18:49 left in the first period, Christian Hillbrich scored to make it 1-0 Cornell. With 17:43 left in the first period, Trevor Yates scored to make it 2-0 Big Red. With 7:44 left in the first period, Mike Borkowski scored his sixth goal of the season, on the power play to make it 2-1 Cornell. With 1:50 left in the first period, Mitch Vanderlaan scored to make it 3-1 Red. Charlie Finn and Mitch Gillam matched zeros for the remainder of the period so Cornell leads 3-1 heading to the first intermission. With 12:41 left in the second period, Patrick McCarron scored to make it 4-1 Cornell. With 2:55 left in the second period, Matt Buckles scored to make it 5-1 Big Red. Mitch Gillam finished off the Raiders and Cornell rolls 5-1. Colgate dropped to 4-6-0 on the season and 1-2-0 in ECAC Hockey play.
