After the offensive woes continue last night, the Colgate Raiders return to Northern Ireland to play the Northeastern Huskies for the second time this season. With 11:36 left in the first period, Zach Aston-Reese scored to make it 1-0 Northeastern. With 6:15 left in period number one, Willie Brooks scored his first goal of the season, on the power play to tie the game 1-1. Bruce Racine and Derick Roy matched zeros for the remainder of the period so 1-1 is still the status of the game heading to period number two. Colgate Coach Don Vaughan pulled Bruce Racine out of the net so Charlie Finn is into the Colgate net in relief. With 16:29 left in the second period, Brendan Collier scored to make it 2-1 Northeastern. With 15:52 left in the second period, Ryan Rosenthal scored to make it 3-1 Huskies. With 12:33 left in the second period, Brendan Collier scored to make it 4-1 Northeastern. With 2:40 left in the second period, Zach Aston-Reese scored to make it 5-1 Huskies. With 44 seconds left in the second period, Nolan Stevens scored to make it 6-1 Northeastern. A struggling Charlie Finn and Roy matched zeros for the remainder of period number two so Northeastern uses 5 goals on 9 shots to take a 6-1,second intermission lead over Colgate. With 5:56 left in the final stanza, Mike McMurty scored to make it 7-1 Huskies. Derick Roy finished off the Hamiltonians and Colgate is crushed by Northeastern by a final of 7-1. Colgate dropped to 4-10-1 on the season.
