After picking two assists in the weekend series sweep of St. Lawrence last weekend, Mike Borkowski and his teammates head to Lake Placid,New York to play in the ECAC Hockey semifinals against the Quinnipiac University Bobcats for the right to play for a championship tomorrow night. Charlie Finn and Michael Gartieg matched zeros in the first period so no score heading to the second period. With 17:06 left in the second period, Connor Jones scored to make it 1-0 Quinnipiac. With 4:23 left in the second period, Sam Anas scored to make it 2-0 Bobcats. With 2:41 left in the second period, Andrew Black scored his eighth goal of the season to make it 2-1 Quinnipiac. Finn and Gartieg matched zeros for the remainder of the period so Quinnipiac leads 2-1 heading to an all-important third period. With 56 seconds left in the third period, Kyle Baun scored his eleventh goal of the season to tie the game 2-2. Finn and Gartieg matched zeros for the remainder of regulation so 2-2 remains our score and we'll play extra playoff hockey. Finn and Gartieg matched zeros in overtime so we'll play some more playoff hockey because of the same 2-2 tie between Colgate and Quinnipiac. With 19:02 left in double overtime, Tyson Spink scored his tenth goal of the season to win the game for the Raiders 3-2! Colgate will advance to the ECAC Hockey championship game for the first time in 24 years!
