After his first career mathematical hat trick was picked up last Saturday, Mike Borkowski and his Colgate teammates return to Starr Rink to play the Quinnipiac Bobcats as the Raiders begin the road to the Whitelaw Cup. With 15:48 left in the first period, Emilio Audi scored his first goal of the season to make it 1-0 Colgate. Spencer Finney and Michael Garteig matched zeros for the remainder of the period so Colgate leads 1-0 heading to the second period. With 11:11 left in the second period, Kellen Jones scored to tie the game 1-1. With 4:33 left in the second period, Connor Jones scored to make it 2-1 Quinnipiac. Finney and Garteig matched zeros for the remainder of the period so Quinnipiac leads 2-1 heading to the second intermission dressing rooms. With 19:43 left in the third period, Connor Jones scored to make it 3-1 in favor of Coach Pecknold's Bobcats. With 18:05 left in the third period, Darcy Murphy scored his second goal of the season to make it 3-2 Quinnipiac. With 16:49 left in the third period, Jordan Samuels-Thomas scored to make it 4-2 Bobcats. With 14:17 left in the third period, Sam Anas scored to make it 5-2 Quinnipiac. With 12:59 left in the third period, Travis St. Denis scored to make it 6-2 in favor of Rand Pecknold's Quinnipiac Bobcats. With 11:34 left in the third period, Danny Federico scored to make it 7-2 Quinnipiac. Michael Gartieg finished off the struggling Colgate offense and Quinnipiac wins 7-2. Colgate dropped to 2-5-1 on the season and 0-1-0 in ECAC Hockey play.
