A/N: I just really wanted to write a chapter like this out of impulse.
STORY OUTLINE: The Current Earth meets his past self, but things quickly escalate.
TIMELINE: AFTER EARTHS REDEMPTION, MOON REVOLUTION, PLANETS BY SIZE ARC —> PRE EARTH'S REDEMPTION | right after Pluto's Demotion
PERSPECTIVE: Current Earth
SHIPS: none. I know selfcest isn't technically a proship but it makes me really uncomfortable, please don't make jokes/comments about Past Earth x Current Earth. Thanks :)
CONTENT WARNING:
- Violence
- People fightingAUTHORS NOTE: it might be a little confusing who's who, so I'm just calling the past earth "Past Earth" and our current Earth who's time traveling "Earth".

Out of anything Earth could've done, he wasn't really expecting to get thrown into the past. He'd had his embarrassing reminders of how quick he was to jump to outbursts in his older days, but they were just fleeting jokes thrown at him by his friends. While alone in his orbit with his moons facing away from him, Earth trekked through his orbit. As of now he didn't have anyone to talk to, but just a couple more hours and he'd meet up with Mars. Maybe they could play solitaire.
He felt himself step on his shoelaces, causing him to fall forwards. He was expecting to catch himself, but at that moment everything went silent. Dead silent, as if all sound had been wiped out. For a split second, time seemed to slow down and go backwards. The tearing of the fabric of reality calming down just for a moment to freeze the frame... a perfectly captured still frame of the beginning of the end, hauntingly beautiful yet terrifying at the same time.
A hundred colors, a thousand shades of brilliant, breathtaking colors exploded like a mirage of lights, painting the skies like a paintbrush violently animating streaks of color into the depths of the canvas, in this case, the entire universe in itself. The view of what was before comprehendible was long gone, teared apart like the petals on a flower.
All he could see was a mass of light imploding and exploding as you were warped into what looked like tunnels. You could see other stars, planets, star systems, even galaxies unfold in a tunnel like slide.
Then just like that... everything blacked out just as fast as it all happened.
Earth felt himself fall to the "ground" with a loud thud, his entire body aching. It felt like the Sun had just shot another solar flare at him, but in full, searing intensity. Did- did he really just see all of that? He couldn't comprehend how he could've seen the entire universe before him in a fraction of a second. Even if he did, he would've convinced himself he'd went insane. Deciding to ignore the clear bruises and minor scratches that had made themselves apparent all over his body, he gingerly picked himself up.
A gust of wind blew past Earth's head as he instinctively flinched. He was right to have done so, as an asteroid had just been speeding towards him. From its trajectory, he quickly made the hypothesis that it was purposely thrown. Whirling around, he spotted a strangely familiar looking blue-green celestial body. Wait- wait. That was him.
Not exactly his current self, but definitely an older version of himself— judging by his appearance. Everything he must've seen, that was him going back in time. If he already wasn't disoriented enough, he had to deal with his past self who was the most irritating version of himself that one could ever be. He had no idea what he was supposed to do now. He didn't even know how far he travelled back to.
His past self bummed, looking rather giddy. Now, Earth had known himself long enough to know that when Earth was overly excited, he had just expelled his wrath onto an innocent celestial body. He was like that with Titan and Pluto. He was prancing around, paying no attention to his surroundings while whistling some random tune. Past Earth walked right past his current self, then accidentally whacked him with his gravitational pull.
