I was left confused when Zane acted like that. I don't know if something happened to him or if it was my fault. I waited a few moments for my classmates who are scheduled as the cleaners of the day before I locked the door and decided to leave.
I was walking down the stairs when my phone vibrated. Upon checking, I saw that Rylie sent a message to me.
Rylie John:
Hello! I'm here at Gazebo.
Hintayin kita rito.
Keith Elthon Villega:
Hi po! Papunta na po
ako d'yan ☺️
When I finally reached the gazebo, I saw him writing on his paper. I walked to where he was sitting but then he looked at me with a smile on his face while waving.
"Hello po, start na tayo?" Tanong ko rito at agad naman itong tumango at ipinakita ang mga sketches niya. All of his artworks are well drawn. I swear, anyone who would see this will definitely won't have a doubt on why he was always chosen as the representative of our school to compete because he's so good at it.
"Ito sketches ko, sinubukan kong magdrawing ng mga bagay na related sa theme ng event." He discussed a lot of things which made me realize how intelligent he is. Napakarami niyang alam sa ganitong bagay at nakakatuwa rin kasi marami akong natututunan sa kaniya.
We decided to try doing sketches then we'll just combine our ideas to construct better artwork. While drawing, I heard his phone ring as someone was trying to call him.
"Hello po, and'yan na po kayo?" Tanong nito sa kausap niya,
"Ah sige po. Lalabas na po ako." He stood up which hooked my attention. He was fixing his bag and I thought he was about to leave until he get his wallet and told me he'll just get something at the guard house.
Umalis na ito at dali-daling pumunta sa guardhouse. I just silently tried sketching some of the ideas that I was thinking earlier.
Maya-maya ay dumating na muli si Rylie dala-dala ang dalawang paper bag ng pagkain. Agad niya itong inilabas sa lagayan at binigay sa akin ang isa.
I was contemplating whether I'll accept it or not but he already handed me the food and drinks he bought. I just thanked him and decided to finish the sketch first before eating.
We took a rest from sketching and we ate the foods he bought while sharing laughter because of what he told me about the girl who was in love with him.
"Seryoso ba? Ang tapang naman niya!" Saad ko.
"Sobra ha! Ipinagkalat pa sa ka-batch ko na hinarana ko raw siya, eh hindi naman ako kumakanta!" Pagkukwento nito sa akin ukol sa naging ka-M.U niya raw noong grade 8 siya.
After eating, I decided to take a photo of what we're doing to it on my facebook story. After I uploaded it, I turned off my phone and went back to what I'm doing.
I was in the middle of sketching when someone walked towards us. It made me take a slight glance only to see Zane who is frowning and looks annoyed.
"Hindi ka pa ba uuwi?" Diretsong tanong nito, coldness is visible to the tone of his voice,
"Ah... Oo, hindi pa kasi kami tapos eh."
"Don't worry bro, ako na bahala kay Eltho-"
"Edi sana nagchat ka para hindi na kami naghihintay sa labas kanina pa." Pagputol nito kay Rylie at agad naman kaming tinalikuran at tuluyang umalis. Both of us were left shocked by what he said, especially me who is feeling guilty for not checking my phone.
I browsed my phone to see what he said and it surprised me for his chats.
