"Hello, guys! Na-miss ko kayo!" Bungad ni Gina sa amin nang makarating ito sa restaurant na napagplanuhan naming kainan. Napagplanuhan naming lumabas ngayon para i-celebrate yung graduation kahapon nila Kai, Rylie, at Gina.

"Moving up niyo na rin sa Friday. Congrats na agad! Gagaling eh." Pagbati ni Kai sa amin.

"Celebrate na rin natin at lilipat na ako." Saad ni Rylie.

"Ganiyan ka, mang-iiwan ka na pre!" Pag-iinarte ni Kai.

Since they're finally in college, kani-kaniyang landas na ang tatahakin nila. I heard Kai and Gina passed their admission in Bicol University where Gina will be taking BA Sociology while Kai will be pursuing his degree in Civil engineering. On the other hand, Rylie is going to take B.S. Interior design in UST.

"I heard you're the valedictorian! Congrats, Elthon!" Rylie said and handed me a gift. It was a necklace with a letter E pendant.

I was so shocked and I immediately thanked him, "hala, ang ganda!! Thank you, Rylie!!"

He also gave a gift to Zane and Isaac. They also thanked Rylie. After that, we decided to eat our food already.

We were eating silently when Kai decided to break it, "ano kukuhanin niyo?"

"Huwag kang bintangero, wala kaming kinukuha!" Saad ni Isaac.

"Baliw! De ano nga, ayaw niyo ba ng advice? Hahahaha!" He said.

"Kami nito, HUMSS. Si Isaac ABM." Sumagot naman ako rito,

They just advised us about the possible things that we might face in our senior high school. They said that it's fine to enjoy our senior high school journey since it's the last.

Yet I know, it'll not be as enjoyable as I want knowing that my parents' pressuring remarks will always live behind me.

Naalala ko tuloy nung ibinalita ko noong nakaraan na valedictorian ako. They just… nodded at me, nakakalungkot nga na mas nauna pa nilang itinanong sa akin kung ano ang average ng salutatorian namin at nasabihan pa ako na bakit 95 lang ang average ko when in fact, getting an average of 95 isn't bad already, in fact it's already high for me, but for them, it's still not

They really just don't want me to excel in academics but are also urging me to treat this as a competition when in fact, it shouldn't be. Hindi ko naman nais kalabanin ang mga kaklase ko, wala naman kasing gano'n for me. Well at some point, meron naman. But it was just a friendly competition.

Napansin ko naman si Zane sa tabi ko na tahimik ito kaya naman siniko ko ito to check up on him.

"Ayos ka lang? Ang tahimik mo."

"Oo naman." He smiled at me, "nabusog lang ako." He answered, and I just nodded at him.

After eating, we went to an ice cream shop and proceeded to buy some. We just ate our ice cream on our way home.

"Pahinga kayo ha! Dapat fresh sa Friday! Congrats, babies!"

This time, I noticed that he's not okay. Well, from the past years of being with him, I already familiarized him— even those moments if he's in a good mood or bad.
