Zane went to our home that night, to return my umbrella. I wasn't able to face him because I had a fever that night.
Days, weeks, and now, Months have passed. We're finally in our second semester of our class for this academic year.
It's been months also since I decided to distance myself from Zane.
"Sumama ka sa gathering mamaya, Elthon! Ngayon ka lang sasama, ha?" Saad ni mama.
They were persuading me to join their gathering in church later at night. It's not that I'm not having a belief in the One above, but because of the reason why they want me to join them.
Para lang magpayabang.
I wasn't able to sleep peacefully last night because we have a quiz today and I really need to work my ass off, especially in the Physical Science subject since I'm still getting confused with the lessons in it.
I know it would be easier if I would ask him about this but I already distanced myself from him because I can't even think of another reason for me to approach him.
At first, I was thinking if I will talk to him and forgive him since it's not a big deal for me. But then, after the first semester, we were given a chance to take a 2-week break from studies before we start another semester.
At umalis sila Zane kaya hindi na kami nagkaroon pa ng komunikasyon ulit.
Then it started there. Dahil hindi kami nagkausap nang maayos at hindi namin naayos ang kung anong tampo ang meron ako rito, pakiramdam ko na parang lumayo na ang loob nito sa akin.
We sometimes meet each other unintentionally, but Zane continually ignores me as if I'm an air who can't be seen by anyone.
It definitely hurts me. Pati sila Athena ay sumusubok na ring pagsamahin kami para makapag-usap but Zane is already trying his best to refuse from the hangouts of our groups, especially if it's with me.
I also heard that Zane is already courting Patricia, and there are some rumors that Patricia is just using Zane for academics but it's not my problem anymore.
Knowing Zane, I know he knows what's better for himself.
"Anlala, nakakapanibago namang kulang tayo." Saad ni Kai habang kumakain kami sa Ramen Shop na napagplanuhan namin na puntahan last week. They invited Zane but then, he said he has some important matters to prioritize today so for another time, he wasn't able to be with us again.
"Ano ba kasing nangyari, Thon?" Tanong ni Gina.
"Mahabang kwento! Mag-enjoy na lang muna tayo. Tsaka wala rin si Rylie. Hindi na nagpapakita sa atin, eh." Sagot ko rito
"Alam mo, Thon, nung nakaraan tumawag sa akin yun si gago. Umiiyak hahahaha!" Kai said which made me curious, I was about to ask him the reason but then, he just smirked at me.
"Luh, curious ka 'no? Umamin ka na kasi!"
"Ulol, ayoko hindi ako ready"
"Huh?"
"Huh?... Ah hahahaha, I mean hindi pa aki ready i-share sa inyo hahaha, kumain na nga tayo!" Muntik na ako ro'n, shet!
"Ehem, may kailangan ba kaming malaman?" Gina said but I just ignored it.
We just spent our time talking about the college life of Gina and Kai. They told us a lot of stories, even the guys who tried to shoot their shot for Gina. Pero wala raw ni-isa sa mga ito ang pumasok sa tipo ni Gina.
"Meron nga, yung kaklase niyan ni Kai. Hindi ko muna sinabi sa kaniya. Nung una, nadadala na ako sa mga galawan pero nung tinanong ko si Kai, meron palang kinikita ampota! Mga lalaki talaga!"
