What you guys are about to read is probably the filthiest, most diabolical sex scene I've ever written in my 10 years of writing on this app. I do not apologise in advance.

EDDIE MUNSON

The silence was DEAFENING when it first arrived at the table. There was the slight sound of heavy breathing every now and again, more than likely when somebody thought on the situation and pissed themselves off, but other than that...it was PAINFUL.
James and Jen were clueless as to what was happening between the adults around them. It caused a twinge in my heart for the little ones. Christmas had been ruined for them, and as selfish as it sounded, I couldn't help but blame Kim.

It wasn't her IDEA to invite them all around, minus the few adults who really COULDN'T KNOW about Kim, but I still blamed her nevertheless. Because; she should have known that it was Steve banging on the door at three in the goddamn morning. He hadn't stopped before that - he would've never given up with the thought that Kim was out there somewhere - and she wasn't naive. Kim should've known better than to come down the stairs that night and show herself to Steve, no matter how 'different' she may have appeared to look.

And so, I blamed her, wholeheartedly.

The table sat beneath the weight of our empty plates and silent solace and I was waiting for somebody to say something, anything.

Kathleen did, eventually.

"You understand why we're all so..angry, right?." There was hatred underlying her tone. It didn't surprise me. Her best friend, supposed to be buried six foot underground, was sat across the table from her, looking prettier than she ever had before.

"Yes." Kim kept her answer short and sweet, not wanting to rile them up anymore than she already had.

Kathleen signed, her shoulders slumped forward as her eyes scanned the room of disappointment and shock horror. "You can't just..expect us to forgive you."

Kim shuffled in her seat, pulling her feet up onto the edge of the chair. "I don't." There was something going on in her head. She usually had wittier comments held back, ready to unleash them upon anyone who thought they could handle her mouth. "It wasn't even my idea."

My body tensed up at that - she was throwing me under the bus. I couldn't help but let out a dry chuckle. I spread my legs apart and rested my hands on the inside of either of my thighs as I shook my head in disbelief.

"Thanks for that." I said sarcastically without actually turning to look at her. My gut knew this was going to end in some kind of an argument, and before the thought even crossed another persons mind, I made sure James and Jen were out of ear shot.

I slid my chair back against the newly fitted laminate of the dining room, pulling my jeans up my thighs as I stood. One arm slung around jens waist as the other held onto James hand. "Come on. It's getting late now." I whispered to them soothingly, my eyes catching the time as I walked out of the room.
