Sa loob ng korte, sinimulan ng abugado ng prosekusyon ang kanilang pagtatanong kay Agasher. "Ms. Acantha, could you describe how your father’s death occurred?"

"Yes," sagot ni Agasher, sabik na magbigay ng paliwanag. Ganito ang dapat na ipakita niya sa lahat dahil alam niyang nagugustuhan iyon ng kaniyang kalaban na nanonood sa kaniya ngayon sa loob ng korte. "That night at the Sanchez party, we had a heated argument over the phone. I told him that our family had no hope due to our debts and that he needed to pass on the crown to someone more deserving because he was such a worthless king."

"And what happened during your last conversation with your grandmother?" tanong ng abugado, tinutok ang mga tanong sa detalye ng pamilya ni Agasher.

"We also had a heated argument when she was in her room. I didn’t like her answer, so I stabbed her with the knife I was holding, just as Tremaine entered the room." sagot ni Agasher. "After I did that, I ran away, fleeing to the Philippines illegally."

Pinaalalahanan siya ng judge na maging maingat sa pagbibigay ng impormasyon. "Provide details that could help the case."

"Mama mo provide," dagdag ni Agasher, tumatango sa tuwing nakikita ang mga dokumento sa harapan niya. Tumikhim siya saglit para pigilan ang pagtawa dahil naguguluhang napatingin sa kaniya ang abugadong nasa harapan niya. Hindi niya nauunawaan ang salitang ibinigkas ni Agasher marahil ay nasa bansang Greece ang mga ito at greek ang kanilang lenggwahe pero ingles ngayon ang usapan dahil may mga Filipino silang kasama. "I killed them, that's all."

Nagpatuloy ang abugado, "What can you say about the evidence collected at the crime scene? Why are the items and bullets registered under your name?"

Malamang ninakaw ang mga fingerprints ko.

"Isn’t it obvious? I must be the killer, and it’s natural for me to leave evidence to make it easier for them. I’m already helping you, and you’re still having trouble finding me." paliwanag ni Agasher. "That's all."

Hindi natigil sa pagtatanong ang abugado ng depensa. "How many times have you done this, and do you have some sort of grudge against your family?"

Napatigil si Agasher. Wala 'to sa script namin ah. "I can’t answer all these questions anymore. The truth is, my dream was to maintain peace in my family, but despite everything I’ve done, I’m still being blamed. I hope you understand what I’m trying to convey.."

Nang makuha ng prosekusyon ang sagot na nais nila, nagpatuloy ang proceedings hanggang sa makapagbigay ng final ruling ang judge pero bago iyon ay muli pang kinuwestyon si Agasher.

"All the evidence points to you, including the items recovered from the building where you were targeted, and the bullets used at the crime scene are registered to you. What could your alibi be, Ms. Acantha?" tanong ng isa pang lalaki na katulad ng unang abugado ay maayos ang damit at kagamitan nito. Pinagplanuhan talaga pati itong mga tanong. Tch. Alam ko na ulit-ulit sila hanggang sa i-deny ko pa ang lahat pero wala silang magagawa, ganito na ako maglaro.

Ngumisi si Agasher at pinaglaruan ang daliri sa mesang nasa tapat niya.

"Well.. Yeah! I have no alibi to avoid hearing objections, your honor. We’re just going around in circles. Yes, I killed my own father and grandmother. Are you happy now, Tremaine? You wanted the truth, didn’t you? Here it is, and you won’t have to suffer anymore, especially since Mommy accepts you even though you’re not a blood relative of the Persopolous family. Ewan ko ba kung anong nakita mo sa pamilya ko para pahirapan akong ganito." Nagulat ang lahat sa silid dahil sa kaniyang mga sinabi, maging ang kaniyang mga nakatatandang kapatid ay nagulat din. Hindi nila inaasahan ang gano'n dahil ang plano nila ay dapat mag-deny siya kahit kaunti lang pero hindi nito sinundan ang pinagplanuhan nila.
