My Bon Bon

Siobhan smiled as she pulled into the nursery car park. It had officially been 3 weeks since she left Roger's grasp and landed safely in Vivian's arms. She was still adjusting to being in a relationship with Vivian. She wasn't used to actually being loved, but she wouldn't change it for the world. Not only that, but the blonde was also adjusting to the life of being a step mum. She first met Jamie months ago when he came along for one of her and Vivian's coffee meetings. He wasn't scheduled for nursery that day so Vivian just decided to bring him along.

From the very minute Jamie met Siobhan it was like all the pieces finally fit together. He always talked about bon bon, he couldn't say Siobhan. This nickname made Vivian laugh and she started calling the blonde it as well. The blonde hopped out of her car and smoothed out the blue and white stripped top she had stole from Vivian that morning, before making her way inside to collect Jamie.

She entered the preschool room and came face to face with sorscha. The red head looked up at her and did her best to keep her face emotionless, but Siobhan knew the sorscha wasn't her biggest fan. "Can I help you?" Sorscha asked, her right eye beginning to twitch. After pushing Siobhan's buttons, Sorscha finally told Siobhan how she was feeling. The blonde apologized for her treatment of the red head, making Sorscha look at her with shock. Before the two could continue talking they were both interrupted by a small voice, "my bon bon! My bon bon!" Jamie said excitedly as he ran up to the blonde wrapping his little arms around her knees.

Siobhan let out a small giggle as she ruffled his hair playfully. "Hi Jamie did you have a good day?" The blonde asked happily. "Yes! I painted a picture for you!" He said pulling his bag off his shoulders to dig it out. He handed the blonde the picture and Siobhan had to hold back tears. It was a painting of herself, Jamie, and Viv at what she assumed to be the park. "Oh Jamie this is just lovely." Siobhan said happily. Sorscha watched the woman in shock, but she felt for the blonde. Seeing her happy brought a smile not only to her face but all of the staff members faces as well.

"Thank you Sorscha." Siobhan said with a nod before grabbing Jamie's hand and walking out towards her car. Siobhan knew that Vivian wouldn't be home till 10pm so she decided to surprise Jamie. "Bon Bon where are we going? We turned the wrong way." Jamie's curiously asked making the blonde laugh slightly. She couldn't believe how smart he was for only being 4 years old. "You'll see Jamie, patience." Siobhan replied as she drove towards the ice cream shop.

When she pulled into the car park Jamie let out an excited gasp, "ice cream!" He cheered as he unbuckled himself from his car seat. "Slow down darling, it will still be there when we get inside safely." Siobhan laughed as she got out and made her way over to his door. The two walked in hand in hand, Jamie's eyes widened as he looked at the various flavors. After a few minutes Jamie was finally ready and asked Siobhan for Oreo and the blonde smiled as she looked towards the young worker, "one small Oreo, one strawberry, and one cookie dough to go please." The blonde asked happily. The worker scooped up Jamie and Siobhan's cones followed by the scoop of cookie dough in a to go container that Siobhan planned to surprise Vivian with later.

Once the two finished their ice cream they made their way home so Siobhan could make Jamie some actual dinner. She quickly threw together some Mac n cheese and chicken nuggets for Jamie, making a few extra nuggets for herself. Once they finished eating, Jamie ran to his room and grabbed his teddy bear. He came running back down to the blonde who was now sat on the sofa and curled up on her lap under a blanket. The two turned on a Disney film, tonight being finding Nemo, this was a nightly routine anytime Vivian worked late.

Jamie would point out the various scenes and it warmed Siobhan's heart hearing his small giggle everytime he saw something funny. At one point in the film those giggles died down but Siobhan was engrossed in the film. She never had a childhood like this and the fact she was able to offer this to Jamie, and give him something she yearned for made her happy.

Once the film ended the blonde looked down and noticed the fast asleep child clinging to her small body. She smiled down at him before wrapping him up tightly in her arms and carrying him upstairs. She got him all tucked in and just stood there watching him sleep. Truthfully in that moment she'd never seen something so beautiful. She watched him curl up with his teddy sleeping peacefully with a smile on his face. Siobhan leaned down and placed a gentle but loving kiss on Jamie's forehead before leaving his room and cracking the door.

Her first night putting him to sleep Jamie told her the door must stay cracked so the monsters leave. She vowed to never forget that important detail no matter what. Siobhan made her way downstairs, she poured herself a small glass of wine, grabbed her book and patiently waited for Vivian to come home. She excitedly put her book down when she heard keys in the door and hopped up to meet Vivian at the entrance.

As soon as her eyes met Vivian's both women shared a loving smile and wrapped one another tightly in their arms. "Hi bon bon I missed you." Vivian said pulling back to place a soft kiss on her lips. "I missed you too Viv." Siobhan replied happily. "Did Jamie get down ok? Or did he give you trouble?" Vivian curiously asked. "He never gives me problems, I'm his favorite remember?" Siobhan said with a wink. Vivian rolled her eyes and pulled the blonde in for another kiss, "yea well you're my favorite too." Vivian said happily.

Siobhan pulled her to the kitchen and immediately Vivian saw the picture stuck to the fridge. "What's this?" She asked curiously. Siobhan's smiled, "that would be a painting that Jamie made at nursery today." Siobhan said remember how excited he was to give it to her. "Is this us?" Vivian questioned as she held back tears. "It is. He was very excited to give it to me today." Siobhan replied as she walked up behind Vivian and wrapped her arms around her waist.

They two shared an embrace while Vivian ate her ice cream that Siobhan had brought home before making their way upstairs for bed. Siobhan curled up into Vivian's embrace and the two peacefully fell into a deep sleep both dreaming about their beautiful futures together.
