Chapter 24

"But, you have to take a bath first! I can smell beer coming from you, M!" I said pushing her lightly with my hands.

"What? I just had one bottle, A." she answered defensively while smelling her breath using her hand.

I smiled seeing her acting like a kid. She's so cute, I want to pinch her cheeks!

"Ew. Just go to the bathroom, please? I want to sleep with you beside me na."

"Okay po, uhm, A?"

"Yes?"

"Can I borrow your hoodie?"

"You mean, your favorite hoodie of mine?"

"Uhm, yeah?"

"M, I know you'll ask for it, so it's already there waiting for you."

"You're the best!" she said then kissed me on the cheek and run.

Wait. She what?

Napahawak nalang ako sa left cheek ko, so glad she ran, because I'm red as a tomato! Mikha Lim really knows how to get me.

I'm already here in the room because I'm so sleepy na and just waiting for her so we can cuddle and I can have a good sleep, when I heard her phone ringing.

It's on the bed side table so I can easily check who it might be.

Denise calling..

Who is Denise?

Natapos yung pag ring na iniisip ko kung sino yun at baka importante.

I saw her phone screen with 1 missed call and 6 unread messages from the same person.

After five minutes, pumasok na rin sya sa kwarto and I told her about someone calling when she's in the bathroom.

She grab her phone and maybe reading the messages that a certain 'Denise' sent.

"Who's Denise, Mikhs?"

"Huh?" she look at me like I've grown another head before continue answering. "Ah, Denise? she's my cousin's friend and we met when she hosted a house party last week. Wait, why are you calling me Mikhs?"

She put her phone back on the table, walk closer, and sat beside me.

"Last week? and she's been calling you since then? Is she one of your bar hopping buddies?"

"A, she's my cousin's friend and we just hang out once after the house party and that's all."

"Okay. Baka hinahanap ka kasi yayayain ka mag bar tonight. Mikhs, you know you can go there if you want, don't worry about me. You've done enough since earlier."

I then proceed to lay down because my hormonal imbalance is not helping me with this jealousy. I just want her to leave so I can self pity.

"A?" naramdaman ko na tumabi na sya sakin pero hindi ko pa rin sya pinapansin.

So she ignored me for more than two weeks because she's busy with her new found friend. Huh.

"Can you look at me na? please?"

I'm back facing her and she's hugging me.

"Go na Mikhs, baka inaantay ka na ng Denise mo."

I know it's childish but I can't help it! blame it to that Denise girl and this raging hormones!

"You really want me to go there? Well, I don't want to. Even if you drag me out of this room, I won't do that. I'll sleep on the couch nalang if you don't want me here."

I thought she's not good with words? And just like that, I gave in.

"Hmp. You know I want you here but it's really okay if you have to leave."

"Who said na mas pipiliin ko ang bar over cuddles with my A? come here my big baby." she said and pulled me closer.

As if my body has a mind of it's own, I just found myself snuggle closer, because her warmth is my home.
