Chapter 66

Mikha's POV

"Haru, baby.. c'mon, you have to walk." I'm begging in front of this lazy cat because he's acting tired already. "You need to exercise to burn some fat, little guy." I added.

"Uh-uhm, M.. maybe let's just sit to the nearest bench for a while." she said in a very low tone.

She's clinging on my left arm while I'm dragging Haru in his leash on the other side. I told him to stop being makulit but he's not obeying me.

"Hm, okay. I'll carry him nalang because he's being stubborn."

We walk to the bench beside the big tree, it's perfect because my Aiah is very sensitive to any flashy lights right now.

We sit and I let Haru on the ground to play, still holding his leash in my hand.

I look at her on my right, she's just staring at our cat. I guess she's really having a hard time to feel at ease, knowing there are some other people here in the park.

"A? if you want to go back in the car na, just tell me.. okay?" I said quietly.

"M.. s-sorry for being like this.. I'm so weak.. I can't even handle to face other group of people now." she stated sadly.

I put my other hand on top of hers.. and we.. i-intertwined our hands, oh my God! she initiated it!

I am mentally doing some victory jumps! I'm stopping myself from smiling and it's hard because I'm tearing up too.

Okay, focus Mikha Lim, you need to sieze the moment.

"Ahm.. A.. you don't have to say sorry, it's not your fault. I.. I wish we can switch.. I will gladly change position with you.. I don't.. It's hard for me.. seeing you like this.. I.. want to handle this for you.. but.. I just can't.."

"M.. s-sorry.. I'm.. so..sorry for being.. like this." she's tearing up and my own tears are about to fall too.

"A.. B-Baby.." my voice cracked.

I can't take this anymore.. I hugged her and we cried silently with her in my arms.

I missed being this close to my Baby. I can feel my heart beating with the same rhythm as hers.

When she finally calmed down, I made her look at me.

"You want icecream?"

When we arrived at her condo, it's almost ten and I don't want to leave her tonight.

After cleaning Haru, I put him on his sleeping bed. He looks so tired for someone who's not even walking kanina sa park! This lazy cat!

I sighed. I guess time for me to go and say goodnight to my real Baby.

I walk towards her bedroom door and knock lightly before going in.

I saw her sitting on her study area, she's writing on her journal.

"Uhm.. A?" I said softly, afraid to disturb her.

She looks at me, closed her pad and stand to walk closer.

"Thank you for today, M." I saw her smile a little. "Thank you for.. always making me feel.. safe." she said, looking down at her fidgeting hands.

I held her shaky hands and kissed both of it while looking in her eyes.

"Baby.. A.. Love.. I want you to depend on me.. please rely on me if you feel like you can't handle what ever comes to you. I'm here.. I promise not to leave you.. Let me.. let me help you, we can get through this together, hmm?"
