Chapter 84

Mikha's POV

Another practice day, I'm waiting for the other members to get here in the dressing room of the studio.

Today is Tita's flight going back to Cebu and I already bid my goodbye and gratitude to her last night. I actually insisted to drive her to the airport today but the mother and daughter just ganged up on me saying..

'No, Mikha Lim, we shouldn't be late together tomorrow, so you have to practice on time and I'll follow after escorting mom to the airport. Ria will be our driver so you don't have to worry.' A reasoned.

'I'm agree with Aiah, anak. You've done enough for the both of us, I'm so thankful for all the efforts you exerted Mikha. I'll see you in Cebu, next month.' Tita added and she hugged me tight.

I glance at the digital clock in my phone. Okay, another three hours and she'll be here.

I just closed my eyes while sitting, trying to prepare myself, physically, before the practice will start.

I'm like a statue
Stuck staring right at you
Got me frozen in my tracks

Each and every time our love collapsed

I'm humming with the song, Statue by Lil Eddie, when someone tap my back.

"Yes, Jho?" I asked, putting my headphones on my neck.

She sit on the chair beside me, looking in the mirror while tying her hair.

"You look happy, Mikhs." she smiled at me. "Same with ate Aiah, she's been smiling alot since you got sick and recovered." she added.

I can't help but smile. Thinking of how she finally got her confidence back, it's so satisfying.

"Jho, you don't know how happy I am when I saw the familiar smile appeared on her face the very first time after what she's been through." I sighed contented. "And, I'll do anything to protect that smile in any way I can." I said, determined.

"Okay girls, so tomorrow, Ms. Regine Velasquez-Alcasid will visit you here." Ate Ica announced during our water break.

"Wow! for real, ate Ica? Oh my gosh! I'm very excited!" Maloi high pitched.

"Yes, Loi and you know, it's not just a casual visit because this is kinda scripted."

We just nodded as a response because we got used to it.

"You girls will have a short interactions in front of the camera with her. Well, you just have to listen to any pointers she will going to give when it comes to preparing on a concert." she added.

"Okay, that's fine as long as no one of us needed to say something that requires critical thinking or something." Colet interjected.

I feel you Col! you said it precisely, bro.

We laughed and look around each other and I think they also thinking the same as mine, because I remember all those times when we got caught on the camera trying to dodge the microphone everytime there's an interview.

All thanks to my intelligent girl for saving our asses in every question and answer portion we encountered as a group.

"Okay, let's go back to practice na." Jho stated.

"Yass! we have to give our best for the blooms!" Sheena said cheerfully.

"Yeah, I saw in the internet how they were all excited for the concert." Staku added.

"Go back to your position, girls!" Maloi clapping her hands trying to hype everyone.

I saw Gwen walking on her spot like a zombie. She's so cute with her nonchalant aura.
