Chapter 73

I'm fidgeting while scrolling through my cellphone. I can see bloom's posts for tomorrow's run and l don't know what should I feel. Yes, I'm excited but I'm so nervous.. I don't know if I can handle being in front of the crowd, again.

I remember what happened in Pride event in QC the other night. The crowd there is unbelievable. They were too many and just seeing the volume of people that attended the march, is suffocating in my part.

I just watched the news that the event got cancelled because of heavy rains and it is not safe for the performers and audience to continue the show.

I hope and pray that tomorrow will go smooth-

My phone suddenly rings and my heart is beating loud.

Mikha Lim calling..

Why is she calling me this late?

"Hello?"

'Hi A? why are you still up?' she asked.

"H-huh? I-I'm just.." I sighed. "I can't sleep." I shortly answered.

'You don't have to filter anything from me, A.' her voice is soothing. 'Are you nervous for tomorrow?'

I sighed again. I guess, there is no reason to hide it from her.

"M.. There's just many things that going through my head, that's why." I answered.

'I know.. and I called, hoping to at least help you. Now, listen to me, okay? I want you to lay on your bed comfortably.'

"H-huh? Why?" I asked wondering.

'Just.. do it first, A.' she chuckled.

I followed her and hug my fox teddy bear.

"Hmm, done." I informed.

'Good girl, now.. put your phone on speaker.'

I hesitated. What is she planning to do?

'A, just please.. do it so we can both sleep na po.' she added.

As if she read my mind.

"Okay, you're on speaker na. Mikha Lim, what are you-"

'Ahm.. let me sing for you, A. Close your eyes, just listen and try to sleep, hmm?' her bedroom voice is making me approved to whatever she wanted me to do.

"Hmm'kay." I closed my eyes and smiled. I feel giddy.

'I hope it will calm you down, A. Goodnight.' she said and begin to sing.

"Wise men say
Only fools rush in
But I can't help falling in love with you
Shall I stay?
Would it be a sin
If I can't help falling in love with you?"

Her singing voice, warms my heart. It's as if telling me that she's always there by my side and I have nothing to worry about.

"Like a river flows
Surely to the sea

Hearing her singing is like a warm hug that I badly needed every end of a tiring day.

"Take my hand
Take my whole life, too
For I can't help falling in love with you"

I'm so lucky to have you, Mikha Lim, it will take some time.. but, please.. stay with me.. because you're still the one that I love.

"Aiah, anak? It's time for you to wake up." I heard my mom.

"Hmm.. yes ma." I answered half sleep.

"Mikha is already in the living room, waiting for you, anak so you have to-"
