Charlotte's POV -

My eyes open and I grab my phone right away.

7:37AM.

I quickly jump out of Mia's bed and ring my brother to see if he can run my school uniform over.

He agrees and I make my way down stairs. I see Mia's mum about to leave.

A - "Charlotte isn't it?"

C - "yeah it is" I say with a smile

A - "what makes you so special to Mia?"

C - "uhmmm I don't know you'll have to ask her"

She scoffs at me and walks out the door.

I can see where Mia gets her attitude from.

5 minutes go by and that's when my brother says he's outside. I run out to his car and grab my uniform. I say thank you and head back inside.

I manage to get my uniform on in no time.

I go back upstairs and wake Mia up.

C - "we've got school Mia wake up"

M - "5 more minutes please"

C - "no now get up"

M - "I'll get up in 5 minutes go away"

God she's aggy when she gets woken up. I rag the covers off her but she grabs a blanket that is on the bed and puts that over her. For fucks sake.

M - "I said 5 more minutes"

C - "fine"

I sit at the vanity on my phone and notice a speaker sat on her bedside table. I giggle to myself.

I turn back and see Mia is flat out once again.

I turn the speaker on and connect my phone. I play one of my favourite songs.

I knew the speaker was loud but didn't know it was THAT loud.

Mia starts screaming and covers her ears with a pillow.

M - "AWH FUCK OFF LET ME REST"

I laugh out at her struggling.

M - "FUCKING TURN IT OFF"

All I can actually do is laugh, I finally turn the music off when she's wide awake.

M - "Char can you go through my top draw and get me my tie?"

C - "sure"

I go through the drawer and see a whole stash of weed.

C - "Mia...?"

M - "fuck"

I get the stash out and place it onto the vanity.

C - "are you going to quit?"

M - "do you want me to?"

C - "yeah"

M - "then I'll quit...after one last joint"

C - "no"

M - "yes"

We go back and forth.

M - "no"

C - "yes"

M - "THANK YOU YOU'RE THE BEST"

Mia jumps up and runs over to me. She gives me a tight hug.

C - "NO I DIDNT MEAN YES MIA"

M - "You said it"

C - "Amelia."

Mia looks at me and doesn't say anything. She hides her face with her hair and looks down at the floor.

C - "oh my god you like it when I call you Amelia don't you"

She still isn't talking. She makes eye contact with me and smiles.

An hour later:

We're both finally ready and leave to catch the bus. Mia has decided to be dumb and bring a joint to school with her.

We catch the bus to the shops. We run in and Mia gets her usual stuff while I get a cherry coke.

M - "give it here I'll pay"

C - "no Mia you've done a lot for me so no"

She snatches the drink out my hand and raises it. I start jumping up to try get the drink but I can't reach.

C - "bitch"

M - "speak up"

I ignore her and stand next to her. She pays for everything and hands me my drink.

She says bye to the man and we head out to the bus stop.

Mia takes her jacket off and throws it over my head as it's raining, she takes my hand and we jog to the bus stop. Her blouse is drenched so is her hair. She looks gorgeous. Even though she's wet. I try to give Mia her jacket back but she insists on letting me wear it.

Mia's POV -

I look at Charlotte wearing my jacket and it looks really nice on her. I smile at her and the bus finally gets here. We run to the back seats and sit down.

M - "oh hey Carly you're abit late"

CARLY - "Yeh I know I didn't wake up to my alarm...you are drenched"

M - "yup gave Charlotte my jacket so she'd stay dry"

CARLY - "Awh you two would make such a cute couple"

I giggle and pass Charlotte an airpod.

CARLY - "you've thought about it haven't you?"

Fortunately the music is loud enough so Charlotte can't hear.

M - "maybe BUT it's not going to go anywhere"

CARLY - "please please please become a couple yous will look better than Autumn and Winter"

M - "wait what they're together? Since when? How did I not know?"

CARLY - "I don't know how long they've been together but Autumn confessed her feelings to Winter and he done the same so yeah they're both together"

I look at Carly then at Charlotte.

M - "it's for the best if nothing happens between us"

CARLY - "why? You wouldn't be hurting anyone and like I said you two will be adorable together"

M - "Carly were complete opposites"

CARLY - "yeah that's why you'll be adorable. Girl whose short, wears colours, natural hair and a girl who has dyed hair,taller and lives in black and leopard print"

M - "opposites do attract...."

CARLY - "exactly"

I hear my phone vibrate so I check.

It's a message.

I read it and a smile grows on my face.
