On the 17th of January, at exactly Five PM, Sable Everglade had discovered something, that while to anyone else would be a completely ordinary occurrence, if not a mild annoyance for they wouldn't be able to leave the confines of a castle without risk of getting wet, to her very best friends, this marked what would be a remarkable, life changing day.
Upon seeing the first signs, from one of the castle windows as she walked down from Ravenclaw Tower, wanting to be early for dinner, Sable had immediately changed course to the Gryffindor Tower, knowing that it would be very likely the other three would be in there, forgetting any pretence, she eagerly ran down the corridors, rushing past students as she clambered up the stairs, nearly crashing into the blonde boy with glasses Zetta had gone to the Ball with, who looked at the girl in confusion as she ran up towards the second tallest Tower in the school.
She pushed past a random first year who'd just wanted to get inside their own portrait hole, and stood panting in the entrance, grinning widely as her best friends looked at her in confusion.
"Look outside." She panted, as her friends looked at each other, but moved over to the curtain covered window, the three of them all developing their own grins.
"It's time, grab an umbrella." Y/n said to the group.
It was hard, manoeuvring through the grounds in the pouring rain, with only one umbrella for six people (They'd ran into Luna and Ginny on their way to the forest and had decided to force them to help), but, the group were still in good spirits, giggling excitedly to each other at the forbiddingness of it all, ignoring the fact they were getting drenched with water despite their umbrella, they were just excited for what was about to happen.
They'd almost gotten to the Forbidden Forest with no problems, until...
"And just where do you think you lot are going?" A familiar voice spoke, all six of them whirled around to see Zetta and Fleur standing before them, looking very amused.
"On a walk?" Y/n lied, hoping her cousin would leave it.
"So are we, but given the way Sable was sprinting through the halls to take you guys on this walk, I'm guessing your walk involves some... illegal activity?" Zetta hummed, twirling the umbrella in her hand.
"How did you-"
"A little birdie told me. C'mon, we'll join you, four people helping is far better than two." Zetta stated, gesturing for some of them to get under her umbrella.
Fawn and Sable lead the group through the forest, until they reached the space in a small clearing, they'd hidden the four little vials, pulling them out of the tree and handing them around.
Inside the vials, was little more than a mouthful of a blood red liquid, though Y/ns seemed to be fuller than the others, a fact that made her rather nervous, but she ignored it, it likely wouldn't change anything.
