Y/n stood frozen beside her cousin blinking in surprise at the sight in front of her, Harry had just entered the small room that she and the champions were in. Was he doing what she was? Keeping someone company? No, he wasn't close with Cedric, it'd more likely be Maddy standing there if anything (though she was likely annoyed with Cedric for putting his name in the cup in the first place). Maybe he had a message to give, he was Dumbledores favourite, he'd be the student most likely to be sent to deliver one. Then again, why wouldn't a teacher be delivering the messages?

There was really only one answer that could possibly be true, but, Y/n didn't want to believe it.

Harry's name had come out of the cup.

But how had it gotten in there in the first place? Surely Harry couldn't have put his name in himself, age potions didn't work and she doubted Harry was smart enough to convince an older student to put it in for him, besides, he seemed just as shocked and confused as her, meaning, there was only one possibly reason his name could've ended up in the cup:

Someone had put it in without Harry's knowledge.

But, who?

There was a sound of scurrying, and Ludo Bagman entered the room. He took Harry by the arm and led him forward.

"Extraordinary!" he muttered, squeezing Harry's arm. "Absolutely extraordinary! Gentlemen ... ladies," he added, approaching the fireside and addressing the other four. "May I introduce — incredible though it may seem — the fifth Triwizard champion?"

Viktor Krum straightened up. His surly face darkened as he surveyed Harry. Zetta looked to Y/n with wide eyes, as if silently asking her if she knew anything about this, Y/n shook her head at her cousin. Cedric looked nonplussed. He looked from Bagman to Harry and back again as though sure he must have misheard what Bagman had said. Fleur Delacour, however, tossed her hair, smiling, and said, "Oh, vairy funny joke, Meester Bagman."

"Joke?" Bagman repeated, bewildered. "No, no, not at all! Harry's name just came out of the Goblet of Fire!"

Krum's thick eyebrows contracted slightly. Cedric was still looking politely bewildered. Fleur frowned.

"But evidently zair 'as been a mistake," she said contemptuously to Bagman. " 'E cannot compete. 'E is too young."

"Well ... it is amazing," said Bagman, rubbing his smooth chin and smiling down at Harry. "But, as you know, the age restriction was only imposed this year as an extra safety measure. And as his name's come out of the goblet ... I mean, I don't think there can be any ducking out at this stage. ... It's down in the rules, you're obliged ... Harry will just have to do the best he —"

The door behind them opened again, and a large group of people came in: Professor Dumbledore, followed closely by Mr. Crouch, Professor Karkaroff, Koldovstoretz's headmistress, Madame Maxime, Professor McGonagall, and Professor Snape. They heard the buzzing of the hundreds of students on the other side of the wall, before Professor McGonagall closed the door.
