Chapter 107: Blood Bride on the Snowfield
Thud!
Thud!
Intense vibrations occasionally sounded. Gu Xi woke up groggily. His mana had mostly recovered during his sleep, and his head no longer ached as it had when his mana was drained.
Gu Xi looked around to assess the situation.
He found that the Evil Coffin had taken him out of the Ice Web Valley and was now heading towards the vast plains leading to the Dispersed Immortal Garden.
Like other parts of this world, the plains ahead were covered in thick snow.
In some places, the snow was so hardened that the Evil Coffin moved over it with a speed that felt like flying.
The intense vibrations were due to the Evil Coffin constantly changing directions, even leaping over impassable areas.
Lying on the lid of the Evil Coffin, Gu Xi watched for a while before realizing that the Evil Coffin seemed to be avoiding something.
Remembering the ambush earlier, Gu Xi quickly reacted.
He gently patted the coffin lid. "Confirm the direction. I will release the Death Incarnation."
The Evil Coffin, which had brought Gu Xi here while he was asleep, had a certain level of intelligence.
As soon as Gu Xi finished speaking, the Evil Coffin turned its head towards a specific spot in the snow.
Supporting his body with one hand, Gu Xi drew the Staff of Destruction with the other and pointed it in the direction ahead of the Evil Coffin.
"Death Incarnation!"
At Gu Xi's command, black mist instantly burst from the Staff of Destruction. The enhanced Death Incarnation spread its wings and charged forward.
Without waiting for Gu Xi's command, the Evil Coffin quickly followed at an extreme speed.
The speed nearly threw Gu Xi off the coffin lid. Fortunately, Gu Xi reacted quickly and clung to the lid, preventing himself from being thrown off.
Once Gu Xi steadied himself, he saw the surroundings clearly. The Evil Coffin had detoured because the snowfield was filled with powerful enemies.
These enemies were lurking in the snow, invisible until approached.
Blocking Gu Xi's path now was a red wedding procession.
They marched with loud music and drums, their blood-red team forming a stark contrast with the white snow.
But Gu Xi was more curious about how they had hidden themselves.
It wasn't until Gu Xi was within a thousand meters of the procession that they suddenly appeared on the snow.
It was highly unusual.
The Death Incarnation didn't care about the logic. As soon as the enemies appeared, it transformed into high-speed black mist and charged into the procession.
During the assault, Gu Xi noticed something odd about the procession.
Leading the procession was a groom riding a blood-red skeleton horse. He wore a red robe, a large blood-red flower on his chest, and a white baboon skin draped over his legs for warmth.
In his left hand, he held over a dozen red threads.
Behind him were more than a dozen blood-red bridal sedans, each carried by porters and accompanied by maids and bridesmaids, with porters carrying dowries.
