Chapter 103: Priority Kill
When the monster charged at Gu Xi, he was already prepared to strike.
As his only means of long-range attack, it was naturally Gu Xi's only choice.
This time, Gu Xi didn't treat the bone spikes as arrows or throwing weapons but used them like a machine gun, continuously shooting them out.
Anyway, Gu Xi had enough mana and no other spells to use, so he didn't fear the consumption of mana.
As for corpse explosion, Gu Xi abandoned it when the monster charged; the creature was too fast, and the zombie bodies couldn’t hold it back.
If he used corpse explosion now, the monster would have already reached him.
And for preemptive strikes, he would need corpses in front of him.
So, bone spikes, like a machine gun, became Gu Xi's method of attack.
Faced with these low-level bone spikes, the monster didn't even bother to block them.
The bone spikes stabbed into its body without breaking the skin.
The monster thought Gu Xi only had this kind of attack.
So, it didn't even dodge Gu Xi's Crumbling Staff, even when it was aimed at its eye.
But at that moment, Gu Xi activated Death Incarnation, and a powerful dragon-like entity emerged from the black mist.
The Death Incarnation didn't give the monster any chance to resist, grabbing it with its claws and lifting it.
The monster hadn't expected to be lifted despite its heavy weight. As it was brought into the air, it realized its mistake. It widened its eyes, shooting out a grey beam.
But just as it shot out the beam, the Death Incarnation transformed into black mist and appeared behind it, biting down on the monster's head.
Under the control of the Death Incarnation, the monster's grey beam hit the battlefield below.
Any skeleton soldiers or ghost soldiers hit by the beam turned to ash instantly.
At this point, the Death Incarnation could no longer support the monster's weight in flight, so it flung the creature into a nearby ice mountain.
The monster hadn't even gotten up when the black mist of the Death Incarnation collided with it, slamming into its waist.
The monster, enraged, grabbed the Death Incarnation's neck in the black mist with both hands, preparing to release a grey beam to dissolve its head.
If it managed to do so, it might have killed the Death Incarnation.
But it underestimated the power of the Death Incarnation. Having fought for so long, the curses had fully taken effect.
Just as the monster prepared to shoot the grey beam, it suddenly forgot how to release it.
[Amnesia Spell!]
The monster's grey beam was a long-range spell attack. With the Amnesia Spell, it forgot how to use this ability.
The Death Incarnation then opened its mouth, spewing a green beam.
'Death Breath!'
Grabbing the Death Incarnation's neck, the monster had no chance to dodge.
The green beam hit the monster's face directly.
For five full seconds, the monster endured the Death Breath's attack.
This attack carried massive damage.
